I’m Roberto, co-founder of Scalar, and together with @dolea I’m proud to present to you our new product, Meeting Guidelines.

@roberjet 100% agree! I just don't understand why it should be so long (1 - 2 hours) - having in mind that everyones at the same time starting cooking and considering doing other things 😄🙏 and in the companies I worked so far it's a few hundred highly-paid tech people - so it's a huge invest - and I don't see a similar high return

A potential feature addition could be an AI module that listens in on the meeting and gives real-time feedback or nudges towards the established guidelines. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see this in action in companies worldwide!
@manmohit do you mean like, for example, the AI module will see who participates and if many are not participating then it will infer that there is too many people in the meeting and so there's potential to decrease the size of it?

💡 Bright idea
This is so dope! I don't know if ya'll thought about this already but it would be really cool to have a context aware calculator to keep people on topic. There have been tons of times where people go off rambling and rambling about unrelated stuff when i'm just trying to get an answer (Some rambling is fine LOL). I don't know how you would set the parameters but like using the transcript of the meeting might provide some good insights!
Hi. Congratulations on the launch! Hmm, interesting idea. Showed it to my coworkers.
This is an interesting product, and I can see why it's so controversial. Meeting guidelines are a fine line between productivity and micro-management. However, in my experience meetings without an agenda and guideline end up dragging on and reducing effectiveness. In this fast paced world, meetings need to be to the point. I am not saying there isn't space for creativity and togetherness, but for example, many companies have DAILY team meeting which can go on till 3 hours!!! I have seen this first-hand, and those and not at all efficient. Talk to the employees, and they are often annoyed that they couldn't finish their actual tasks. I have been part of teams with good guidelines in place through Basecamp for example and those are often smooth sailing and because it's so well structured leaves more space for conversations to be creative and human. So, I personally think this product is essential and am grateful that it's integrated with Google Calendar!
I hate meetings that are longer than they need to be. So many meetings could be reduced in time if every meeting had a set agenda and everyone was prepared for the meeting based on the Agenda. I will definitely be trying this tool out. Wishing you the best on your launch!
