Where a person likes to go can say a lot about them. The places you go can change you. And sometimes you just need to find a good place. The most interesting people often know some very interesting places. Where do people you like and look up to, like to go?

Hey Product Hunt! I'm one of the makers of Scout, along with Alex Haak. Like many of you, we love cities, whether it's exploring our own here in NY or traveling elsewhere. The problem is, while we care about discovering genuine, local gems, it's quite difficult to find good places today without fatiguing through the web. What we do value are recommendations from friends which hold a lot more weight than a generic Yelp rating. So in light of this, we made Scout for people like us - an app to get recommendations from friends and bookmark places we like in a personal library (like a Spotify library).
