Cannot help but I would like to see even a normal video editor like CapCut from you. From screen recordings you posted it seems like easily manageable. (I have been using DaVinci Resolve but some things are outdated like dragging the image on the X Y axis..
TL;DR: Don't you have an ambition to create a video editing tool similar to CapCut? 😅

Hey Nika! We didn't create Screen Studio to compete with advanced video editors. Our goal is to keep this tool simple to use. However, we plan to add functionalities this year that will bring it closer to CapCut, such as more control over audio tracks and the ability to edit multiple projects at once.
@dawid_wilewski I’m so glad reading your answer! Keep your focus and double down on your superpowers as screen recording software, rather than becoming a mediocre video editing software. Your tool lets me record highly professional looking screen recordings (which would take ages in Final Cut Pro and would look not even half as smooth) and then I’ll give it the overall professional edit in Final Cut Pro, merging other footage, thanks to your lossless export option. So ScreenStudio is the perfect companion app that works perfectly along with professional video editing software.
I've been using this since day 1 and I never looked back.
Probably saved 100s of hours of video editing time and got overall better and cooler looking results.

Just hit this today. I had 2 screen recordings and had to resort to an external app to put them together :(
I've tried multiple screen recording software, but screen.studio has the best quality by far. The automatic zoom on mouse actions and smooth mouse movement make my videos look professional. Really congrats Adam!
I've been using it for a year now and I think I've recommended Screen Studio more than 100 people on X, Reddit, and YouTube. The only feature I'll ask for is adding a custom text in the editor. Sometimes I need to add a text but I export the video and import it to Canva to do that. I think it would be awesome to do that in Screen Studio. But still it's a great app, using it everyday.

Screen Studio has become the defacto product demo video editor. Whenever I film demos I get so many questions like “how did you film that?”
Which is slightly annoying because I want people to be excited about my product more than my editing!

The software is great. 100%.
However, the pricing policy is not so well designed IHMO. 2 years ago I bought a "forever" license with updates. However it's not "Forever"., now i need to pay one more time for the update. What a shame. Now I have to buy another "Forever" license. Where is the guarantee that in the next 2 years, I will be not charged? Just asking from the perspective of the client.
Just sharing my perspective. Of course, purchasing add additional $50 is not a problem at all. I would just change a copy, otherwise it's like overpromise.

@mbalasinski Hi Maciej! It was always marketed as a one-time payment deal, which included support for one year of new updates. You can check the pricing page on the Wayback Machine. I believe the confusion may stem from the fact that we did not adhere to the "one-year period" for a long time. Many of our users, especially early adopters, had access for two years. We decided to extend this period for early adopters as a gesture of goodwill.

Having launched a very successful course last year showing people how to use pretty complex UI's to build custom web apps, Screen Studio was fundamental in my students' enjoyment of the video material.
The 4K quality, the Zooms, they all added to the level of professionalism I was after when I designed the course.
But not only that, the ease of recording, editing, and publishing made my life as a course creator so much easier which meant I could just focus my efforts on the course content rather than stressing over the process.
I'm looking forward to diving deeper into V3 and making many more courses in 2025.

Can anyone explain to me why we have 50+ beautiful recorders for mac and 10 ugly for PC? When 90% of software developers prefer PC? i literaly rent virtual mac to make recordings.

I have been using ScreenStudio for more than 2 years, slightly after I started freelancing, and it has become one of my favorite tools. It is amazing and it has improved a lot (also I feel a sort of emotional connection to it!, really)
Super easy to use, results are really pro, everything is customizable.
Sharing links was something I missed, so I just renewed my licence.
P.d. One of the things I love, is that you can pay once and use it without monthly payments. Last few months I used without updating and it was fine.
