We love working on fun things like the website cursor. The iOS app is packed with other delightful things, like the blobby background or the bomb explosion effect.

Hello Product Hunt 👋
Today we’re excited to announce our launch of Scribble Together 3.0. Scribble is a simple, fun, fast-to-share online whiteboard, especially beloved by tutors, teachers and students. It’s the best replacement for pen-and-paper when collaborating with others near and far.
Scribble allows you to share whiteboards with unlimited guests on any platform – and they can hop in with no sign-up required. You can import PDFs, mark them up, then export them back out, which is great for marginalia and worksheets. Scribble was founded with handwriting at its center and feels especially smooth with Apple Pencil. It was built with learning in mind, and we’ve been incredibly honored to support so many talented educators and researchers over the years!
We’ve been hard at work incorporating our member’s requests. Since launching 2.0 we've added grid paper, syncing across devices, shape correction, the lasso tool, multiple windows on iPad, and more. We are happy to share that 3.0 also includes:
• 🔠 The Label Maker tool – for when typing makes more sense than handwriting.
• 🖼 The Image tool – to drop images directly onto the canvas.
• 🌈A celebrational blobby background in our iOS app. Tilt your device to see it do some vaporwavish poolside effects. And if you prefer glitter or a chill flat dark gray, you can always get to those in All boards > Settings > Theme from your All Boards screen.
• 🌍 Last but not least – all of the tools from iOS are now available in Scribble for the web, so anybody can use them on Android, Windows, Mac, and Chromebook. No matter your platform, we are here for you! With 3.0, Scribble has come a long way from its origins as an iPad App.
Scribble Together is a 100% independent, member-supported project. Memberships are what keep the project going, and members’ requests drive what we build. We are thankful to our legion of Scribblers who have provided us with feedback over the years.

@anna_0x Thank you! We believe handwriting is the best way to express lots of complicated ideas (like math!), so we focused on making the handwriting great without other features getting in the way. We also made sure that joining a whiteboard is super fast with either a short code you can read out loud, a link you can text, or a QR code for getting a whiteboard from your computer to your mobile device.
I really think this product on the iPad Pro exemplifies what Steve Jobs intended when he designed iPad. Very simple and interactive, with full support for Apple Pencil.
It is also practical in that unlike other whiteboard solutions, it is not tied to a conferencing system and its lifetime is not linked to a meeting. You can have a long lived whiteboard for constant collaboration with a team giving a visual add on to your group chats.
This software really enabled me to do remote workshops during the pandemic and now with the recession and reduced travel budgets it is continuing to be essential.

@aiyagari Thank you so much! When we were coming up with initial concepts for the Apple Pencil, at some point in a review Jony told us: look, just make it feel great to draw a simple line. the message was clear: do one fundamental thing well. That’s the spirit we stick with for Scribble Together!
Many people, especially educators, don’t have the time or energy to try and learn a sprawling feature set. They wish they could turn around and write on a board together or pull up a piece of paper, but have to overcome distance. And we want to serve everyone who can use this by making sure it works for them.
