Today Segment is introducing Functions—a new way to connect tools to Segment with just a few lines of JavaScript. I'm a big fan of Segment. I use it to collect customer data across touch points and send it to tools that I use to run my growth campaigns. As a user of many tools, I needed to find a way to power them with good, clean, consistent data. With Functions, you can bring new types of data into Segment, enrich data in transit, and send data to new types of destinations. It allows my team to run advanced campaigns even faster, without having to deal with any additional cloud infrastructure. Functions is helping my growth teams ship experiments faster, with less infrastructure.
