Generics — Bespoke 3D printed earphones

Generics uses a mobile app to record a video of our inner ear that enables them to construct a 3D image and custom print ear buds that fit you perfectly, so they wont fall out. You also use the app to customise the colour choices and personalise the buds.

I love the concept. Only way to do this previously was expensive and involved visiting a specialist store to have mould taken of your ears by injecting goop in there.

@darkejon this is a super cool idea, but what I'd really love would be to buy just the molded, custom tips. I already have (wireless) earpods I'm very happy with, but would probably spend the money to get custom tips that fit my ear perfectly. My earpods, like most I believe, have interchangeable tips anyway so alternative tips would be easy to fit. Even better, if they had a database of popular models so that I could get both the (in-ear) tips and the "wings" that help with stability, both custom-made for my ears.
