A SaaS kit that might be the perfect starting point for your next React project. Save time and skip implementing features like authentication, payments, teams, and more so you can focus on building your SaaS.

Instead of reinventing the wheel and spending lots of time on the basic features every SaaS app needs, I made this boilerplate to get a head start when working on new projects. I used it to build SidePage in just a couple of weekends, so check that out if you want to see the starter kit in action. It's made with some of my favourite technologies: - TypeScript - React - Next.js - Tailwind CSS - Firebase - Cloud Firestore - Cloud Functions - Netlify CMS - Stripe - Postmark In addition to the starter kit, you will also get access to a dashboard filled with helpful resources for indie hackers and founders. During the PH launch, you can get it at a special price.

@jake_prins Hey Jake, just want to say that this looks fantastic. I was looking for a SAAS boilerplate around a year ago and would have definitely bought this as the tech choices are spot on. It would have saved me weeks/months... In fact, I might have even finished that idea had I spent less time building this stuff and more time building the actual product! Good luck with it!

Congrats on the launch, looks super polished with a rich feature set. Having worked on something similar in the past for Django, I know how much hard work building something like this is. What's the reasoning about the daily price on the marketing page, though? Why not go for $129?
Jake Prins
@_jayfk Thanks! I'm just experimenting a little with the pricing. I thought 0.35 a day sounds really cheap, but might change it back to 129 a year. You think that's better?
Jannis
@jake_prins My gut feeling is, yes. Knowing that a couple of cents instances on AWS can result in a hefty monthly charge, I think going for $129 is better here. It's still super cheap for the value you provide and it doesn't require your visitors to do any math.
Derek Feehrer
@_jayfk @jake_prins Or you could price it at $129 but have some subtext: “(That’s only $0.35 per day!)”
Travis Fischer
Looking great dude! The world needs more solutions like this that reduce the barrier to entry for aspiring SaaS founders. Keep up the great work 💪

Hi Jake! Any plans for AWS vs GC? We'd use Intercom for the event based emails like sign up and generally Mandrill for transactional although that doesn't much matter. I assume we could use Netlify CMS for this? My advice is to keep it as headless as you can but as low/no code as you can. Great work so far and I think the price is great. I almost wonder why you've not gone the route of Member Stack? Their transactional fee's are a deal killer but your sub is a little low I feel.
Jake Prins
@kate_hiscox Thanks Kate! The idea of creating a similar starter kit but with AWS has crossed my mind and that could be an options, but for now the focus is on the current stack and improving the product. Serverless SaaS is a bit different then MemberStack because it's a starter kit that allows developers to do with it whatever they want. I'm still experimenting a bit with the pricing because I can mixed feedback. Some people call it too cheap, others too expensive. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.

I subscribed to @jake_prins Serverless SaaS project back in early November and I can vouch that this is a very high-quality starter kit. I liked the product so much, my testimonial is even featured on the landing page! Here are some of the things I really love about it... - The code is really clean and well documented - Getting up and running is fast once you have your Firebase/Stripe/Postmark/Netlify projects setup - If you get stuck on anything, Jake is incredibly helpful every step of the way - Along those lines, Jake has been great with releasing bug fixes and even adding nice little features to the base functionality here and there (making the subscription well worth it) - Even if you aren't an expert in some or all of the tech stack, the code is structured so well that it's easy to walk through and understand it If you've got a SaaS idea floating around in your head, or a ton of unused domain names just waiting to be used, I promise you that the project is one of the fastest, and highest quality approaches to getting your project launched.
Jake Prins
@danschoonmaker Thank you so much for this Dan! This makes my day. I really appreciate it! 🙌

I also forgot to mention how amazing it is to have multi-tenant features built right in to the data models so you can offer “team plans” right off the bat... This is huge when building a SaaS product.

Very cool. We've been working on setting up our react app the past few months without a frontend UXUI designer. I think a clean boilerplate or starter example like this might have really helped speed up the process and remove some of the small decisions and design choices it sometimes felt like we were scrambling to feel confident about. Great work!

Great app but the pricing seems a little too steep :(
Jake Prins
@daryllman What do you think is a fair price? If you want to build a SaaS, and charge people money for it, how much is saving a couple of weeks/months of development time worth? I'm sincerely asking, because I'm experimenting with the pricing a bit, but this seems like a pretty good deal. Someone called it "still super cheap for the value you provide" so I'm not convinced if the price should be reduced even more. Btw, you can use the promo code "producthunt" on the lifetime plans to get a nice discount ;).
Daryll Wong
@jake_prins To me, I see this as more of a one off purchase product, rather than it being subscription based. Why I see it this way is, I could potentially as someone to build this out for me with the exact same tech stack and UI. --> Maybe you could adjust your price to be comparable to this? Also, tech stack changes regularly, how do I get the assurance that you will be updating the product regularly as well. Just my 2 cents.

Hm, whats the difference between Serverless Boilerplate ($199) and Serverless SaaS Kit ($129)?
Jake Prins
@bror You can now subscribe to a yearly plan for $129 or go for a lifetime license which now starts at $199 (for a single commercial project). I updated the site to make it more clearly. The end product is the same. Sorry for not making that clear. Btw, you can use promo code "producthunt" to get a discount on the lifetime plan.

Well, an awesome app, Congrats.
Jackie Lightfield
@jake_prins Are you tweaking the sign-up page? It seems to be pointing to gumroad?
Jake Prins
That seems to be good. You can make the purchase through the Gumroad page. Don’t forget to use promo code “producthunt” for an additional discount;)
David Young
Hi @jake_prins is there a discount still available for ProductHunters? :)
Jaisal Rathee
Brilliant! Congrats on the launch Jake 🚀
