Sets is an add on for Slack that creates a community portal. It features:

Simple profiles for members to find people with similar interests
A wiki for your members to share resources
A calendar of events that keeps your community up to date

Really cool idea. Personally, I am searching for a way to gate content in Slack via payments or even NFTs. Anything like that on your roadmap?
Oli Littlejohn
@bjorn_gustavson Payments is certainly something I'm looking at - either via a subscription or a tip jar. How would you see NFTs implemented?

I love that you have pinpointed some key failings of slack for communities. Having run a few slack communities these features are SO needed and I'm super glad Set's is plugging them. Congrat's on launch!

@hainingmax thanks Max!

Great tool! Solves such a unique set of problems really well. I especially like the events and their reminders, saved me so many times from being late πŸ˜‡

@parking_pete Event posting / reminders can be such a boring part of community management, I just wanted to automate it away from my to-do list :)

Hi, I'm Oli, creator of Sets! Sets is a community portal that's built specifically for Slack communities. It comes from my experience of running a few Slack communities and hacking together automations to make it more of an experience for our members. I wanted to create something that: - lets members connect around common interests without my involvement - creates a private shared resource hub that only members of the Slack workspace can access - has simple events listings that automate updates to the community If you want to try it out, it's free to use for up to 15 member profiles - after that it's only 20 bucks a month (worth it not to have to to write weekly events roundups imo). To set it up, you need to be an admin of the Slack workspace, and make sure you follow the instructions to configure Slack to allow people to login with their Slack credentials (don't worry, it's very straightforward). If you'd like to join a Slack community with Sets set up, head here: https://join.slack.com/t/setscom... Any questions or feedback, just let me know!

I like this because it compensates for one of the things that slack lacks - a great wiki. Whilst also making the administration of access seamless. Nice one!

@tom_harries Thanks Tom! With the communities I run administration of access is so much admin, so trying to make it a bit easier :)

I love this 😍 Does it work with other tools like Discord?
Oli Littlejohn
@claire_macwheels not yet, but looking at that integration!
