Hey @Michaloblak! Very interesting concept to put together a really simple API for a really simple MVP. Why would I not use Stamplay.com or other similar, pretty seamless and simple to use, services and choose Sheetsu instead?
I'm asking because of the fact that something like Stamplay, will be easier to scale rather than a google spreadsheet.
Thanks!
@kostgx Hi Kostas!
Stamplay.com is very great product indeed. It can take care about everything - managing users, sending them emails, etc. It's really great.
Sheetsu is for small things and really quick prototyping. It's bad idea to manage users with Sheetsu. But it's really simple to implement custom form or surveys with Sheetsu. Or mocking tests.
Idea of Sheetsu is not to use Google Spreadsheet as a production database for a big projects. It's for testing out ideas, connecting spreadsheets with other platforms or creating small things which doesn't need heavy backend.
It could also help you connect zaps or use Google Spreadsheet as a DB for simple cases.
@ryanmarr Hi Ryan,
Right now it's just POST and GET. I'll add PUT/PATCH and DELETE soon.
I'm getting tons of feedback on Twitter and in one of the spreadsheets which is accessible by API (made with Sheetsu of course), which is really cool! I really appreciate it. I'll process that data and develop the most needed features.
@bennett_up For me, main difference is simplicity. Just give permissions to the app and start playing around. Super simple and right to the point
.
Now there is a beta version that allows GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE so you almost do pretty much the same as with Google's API but much easier.
Love this, great idea with great support. I think a lot of non-technical businesses would benefit greatly from such a simple CMS. It is likely this is where there data sits anyway.
