Shippa is a marketplace platform connecting shoppers who wants to shop abroad to travelers traveling to your city already. Shoppers get access to thousands of products that are not available in their home country/city and travelers earn some extra cash by helping out with shopping and delivering products. Win-win for all! Reason why we built this tool: There are millions of people who faces the pain of not being able to purchase certain products from abroad due to a few reasons: -International shipping is costly and slow in speed -Products are not available in home city/country -Products does not ship internationally We are consumers of this pain for many years so we figured it is best to build it. What we observed: In order to bypass these bottlenecks, someone physically in that desire city/country who is already on their way to the shopper's home city is ideal. Travelers typically make anywhere from 10% to 40% commission depending on a number of factors: accessibility, price of products, size/weight, and last mile delivery. Pilot: We've seen travelers make anywhere from $50 to $500 per flight route. Products included sold out sneakers, specialty food/alcoholic beverages, luxury hand bags, etc. Current: We are currently designing/building our version 2 of the mobile app, we will launch on iOS first.
