Shodan Trends is a website that lets users search across the history of the Internet to discover trends in the types of services and devices that are publicly accessible.
Shodan was originally designed as a tool to understand how technology use is changing on the Internet. The information collected from the Shodan crawlers would be able to provide users with a data-driven view of what the Internet looks like; i.e. not based on surveys or sampling of popular websites. Which FTP software is most popular? How quickly is my hosting provider patching services? Which countries are running most of the VPNs? There were others that provided the information for web servers but I wanted to offer it for everything that's online - not just the web. I'm happy to announce that we now have a website that does that and more. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!
@saascoach Thank you and it doesn't actually require a subscription. Members can also use Shodan Trends and that's only a one-time payment of $49 for a lifetime account upgrade (i.e. not a recurring subscription): https://account.shodan.io/billin...
I've also written about it a bit more here to get a better sense of what it can do: https://blog.shodan.io/introduci...
