Always loved the Ultima series, Ultima VII was my favorite by far. Did play Ultima VIII but it's not as good as VII. As for Ultima Online, that was really quite great and enjoyable, as was Ultima Forever that was pulled offline after only a year (and to be honest, it was pretty nice!). I've never been fond of the real '3D' branch of Ultima, it's just not the same RPG experience to me..

@calimonk UO:Renaissance was definitely the best version! I still think UO had one of the best Artificial Life engines ever made! I haven't seen a game since than that is as 'complete'. Tried the 3D version once, hated it. Maybe SotA will be different :)
