Side Hustle Stack 2.0 is the *new and improved* ultimate database of earning opportunities. We want to enable everyone to find new opportunities and get paid for doing flexible work they enjoy!
Happy new year, Product Hunt! :)
I'm real excited to launch the *new and improved* version of Side Hustle Stack today — you might remember our first launch around this time 2 years ago on a suped-up Notion page! Since then, we've continued to attract about 500k monthly viewers to our site and connected people to earning opportunities that are flexible for their needs.
From our visit analytics — and just colloquially — I think it is safe to say that the current state of the economy and looming macroeconomic sentiment has made things tough, but especially for folks who do not have a fixed income or are most affected by platform changes. Our goal with Side Hustle Stack remains to enable *everyone* to find better opportunities and get paid for doing the work — or work(s) — they truly enjoy. We want to become the ultimate online resource for finding work, assessing platforms before signing up for the work, and leveling up your earning.
To support this, we’ve slimmed down our site to our first set of 70 platforms. These are opportunities that we can personally vouch for; we skewed towards having a majority of “Evergreen” opportunities, work that virtually anyone can do. We’ll slowly be accepting platforms for the site and as we do, will arm this approach with a white-glove scrutiny to keep every platform on-site as close as possible to an honest, people-first standard.
Let me know what you think of the new launch and thanks for checking us out!
Great to see the new look and feel of v2.0.
It makes it even easier to find ways to have a successful side hustle.
Great idea but also great execution 👌
@jacky_lin3 Appreciate the kind words! I could ramble way too long about this, but I think mainly 2 ways:
- Rewards niches! We're different from a 'traditional' job-search site in that lots of our opportunities are enabled by specific platforms, so it's the only place you'd find avenues to getting paid for coaching video games if you can do that, for example.
- Eventually, as we build the site out, we'd like to have more of a journalistic role than the average job site — making transparent pay data and crowdsourcing that, telling you what a job is like before you sign up for it, etc.
I doubt we'll look very similar to other job posting website as time goes on. Happy to chat more, lmk what you think! :)
