Siter.io is a no-code website builder that allows you to design and publish websites without any code. It works by designing directly in the browser, freehand, using tools you already know.

Can Siter.io be used to create dynamic sites, e.g. blog pages?
Andrian Valeanu
@stevenkryger Hey Steven, Not yet, but we're looking into it, and I'm sure we'll have something to show this fall.
Charles Magnuson
This service looks very promising, but it falls short of being of any use to me. I have a personal website as well as a business website hosted on my own domain. The hosting part is very easy. I have no problem creating a domain and uploading content so that people can view my website. However, building websites is really difficult. My skills make me mostly incapable of doing anything beyond basic HTML and CSS. Even then, figuring out what I am doing can be very frustrating. Looking at Siter, I thought this service might be exactly what I am looking for: A tool that lets me super easily create great looking web pages which I then download to my computer an upload to my domain. However, it appears that Siter is limited to using your own hosting service. This appears to mean that my business and personal domains would be required to have .siter.com somewhere in the domain name, which is not acceptable to me. I don't want my clients wondering what the heck Siter is. When they visit my website, all I want them to see is my own domain. It would be amazing if Siter could provide a web page design service without requiring me to host the pages through Siter. This would give me the control and flexibility I am looking for on the hosting side while leaving the web page design side completely up to Siter. As it stands right now, I don't think I can use Siter due to this limitation.
Sergey Shmidt
@magnuson Hi Charles! Thank you for the detailed reply. However, you got a few things wrong. You can add your own domain name to pages you've created with Siter. For those paying customers who are still looking for a domain name or are in the middle of this process, the .siter.io subdomain is an option that is free. However, we do not currently permit downloading those pages to a computer. Wix, Squarespace, and Webflow, for instance, are neither. The majority of users, which is what we are aiming for, don't want to deal with yet another thing to worry about and simply want to get a one-click solution. PS: In order to bring a no-code design flow with the ability to export HTML/CSS templates, we are currently working on Startup (https://designmodo.com/startup) and Slides (https://designmodo.com/slides). Feel free to check them out.

@mrzagir Thanks!

Congrats on the launch! I did test it for a bit. Looks awesome. But I don't see a public URL anywhere. Its just publish. I expected to see a public link after that. eg: mysite.siter.io
Andrian Valeanu
@surjithctly Hey! Thanks! Due to a significant spam attack in May, we decided not to provide a publicly shareable link. You can press the "Publish" button and click the "View page" button. Here is a quick example: https://capture.dropbox.com/6Nz7...
Sergey Shmidt
@surjithctly Thank you, Surjith! Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a domain name to every customer because some of them were scammers who used our free domain to defraud people. This could damage our reputation and put everyone's trust in the service's reliability and performance. For the time being, while we work to solve the scammer issue, only paid customers are eligible to receive a free domain.

Congrats on the launch Adrian! I just sent you an invite to a conversation on https://relayed.ai to say hello
Andrian Valeanu
@david_okuniev1 Thank you, David! I just saw your invitation, and I accepted it :D looks very good! Later today, I'll give it a try.

I quite like the concept of no code, and this will be very useful for creators who want to build a portfolio but don't have dev knowledge for it, especially with the Figma export support. Kudos on the launch! :D
Edvard Khondkaryan
@auttomatta Thanks man! yeah Figma support is gonna be big help for people with no coding skills, and we just started more cool features we'll add over the time.

@lisadziuba Yeah, we're very happy that all of our hard work over the past four years is paying off here on Product Hunt.

Figma plugin is awesome! It saves me a lot of time and effort working with a developer.
Andrian Valeanu
@andrew_laurentiu Thanks! We'll keep enhancing and updating the plugin :)
Prineel Bandellu
Wow, this looks nice! I precisely like Import from Figma, I will try this with some complex layouts for my personal blog. Congrats on the Launch!
Edvard Khondkaryan
@prineelbandellu Thanks Prineel! Hope you'll like it.
deepu
congrats on the launch
Alisher Ishanov
Looks good! Not sure if somebody asked earlier. What are 3 things that make it better than the competition: Squarespace or Wix?
Andrian Valeanu
@alisher_ishanov Thanks, Alisher! I think you're asking to compare different products. Siter is similar to Figma and Sketch, but it also has the ability to publish the website live in real-time. It's a perfect tool for designers who use Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, to draw websites from scratch. But to answer your question, the most significant difference from Squarespace or Wix that comes to mind is that you can "draw" the design you want instead of making changes to the template they give you. You can change every single pixel to make it your own design.
Alisher Ishanov
@andrianv thanks Andrian! That's an interesting positioning. Congrats on the product of the day. That never comes easy.
Andrian Valeanu
@ishanoval Thank you!
Alexander Selivanov
Really cool website builder. Been using siter many times, it's like figma but you getting instant html page. Congrats the launch!
Edvard Khondkaryan
@selivandex thanks mate! Many more to come.
Christoph Paterok
Hi @andrianv! Congrats on the launch πŸŽ‰ Is it also possible to download the website to host it somewhere else?
Andrian Valeanu
@patte87 Thank you, Christoph. It's a very popular question in our support. We don't offer the possibility to export the code. Our service's main objective is to empower anyone, regardless of coding experience, to create a website and publish it instantly live on our platform.
Axel Lavergne
Really cool product congrats on the launch! πŸš€
Edvard Khondkaryan
@axel_lavergne thanksπŸ™
Abzal Assembekov
Congrats with a launch Andrian! It looks awesome, especially Figma plugin. The technical question, I noticed that the published web site has position:absolute on elements. Is it possible to avoid that?
Sergey Shmidt
@abzal_assembekov Hi Abzal! The absolute positioning is the only way you can build pages without building an architecture for your elements, like Webflow editor, for example. Our way allows virtually anyone to create pages when Webflow is a visual tool for web developers. Unfortunately, no way to avoid that.
Abzal Assembekov
@monstercritic1 understood, that wouldn't be useful in production though. I noticed you have a product web site builder for Bootstrap 5, any plans adding Bootstrap 5 into Siter?
Sergey Shmidt
@abzal_assembekov No plans in adding Bootstrap 5 to siter.io, however, we do have plans to add the freehand WYSIWYG editor to Startup 6, working on it as we speak.
Jerusha Holder
Congrats on the launch! Besides the price of the subscription, could you tell me what is the benefit of using Siter.io vs. Wix or Webflow? Will you be offering pre-made templates that users can start with?
Andrian Valeanu
@jerushah Thank you, Jerusha! I have responded to this question in one of the previous comments, which is why my response will be partially duplicated. I think you're asking to compare different products. Siter is similar to Figma and Sketch, but, in addition has the ability to publish the website live in real-time. It's a perfect tool for designers who use Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, to draw websites from scratch. But to answer your question, the most important benefit from Webflow or Wix that comes to mind is that you can "draw" the design you want instead of making changes to the template/blocks they give you. You can change every single pixel to make it your own design. Yes, you can use a few of our templates to try out our editor. Where can I find them? 1. Create a new website 2. Create a new page 3. Here you will see a few templates, chose one and create the page Demo video here - https://capture.dropbox.com/GmAI...

Hello Product Hunt and Makers! πŸ‘‹ This is an important day for our team, we want to announce a project we have worked on latest almost 4 years (as a maker, I’m sure you think it’s a lot of time, but, it’s a very complex project). It is called Siter.io and you are welcome to test it for free. Siter is a no-code website design tool, freehand, and allows publishing the design live, without any code. We are releasing Siter on Product Hunt with 15,000 users on board; these are the people who started to use the service in beta. We’re very grateful to our community and people who support us! As you can see in the video and images, Siter has intuitive design tools, the same editor tools and shortcuts you already know from other software, such as Figma πŸ™Œ Using Siter, you will have the same familiar workflow that is based and focused on designing incredible websites. In addition to an incredible online editor βš‘️, you will find on Siter: - Unlimited pages per website. - Add teammates to work together on the project. - Forms: collect data and avoid third-party form services. - Transfer website: finished a client website? So it’s time transfer it to the client’s account so they can manage it. - Figma plugin: export Figma designs to Siter and publish it in one-click. See video here. - and more… discover all features by yourself ;) If you’ll have any feedback β€” feel free to write a comment below. πŸ˜Œ Let's build together! πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈπŸ‘·β€β™‚️

@andrianv Hi Adrian, is there any example of a site that was built with your app?
Andrian Valeanu
@agilek I am happy to provide you with the URLs of the websites, but we cannot share the websites made by our clients without their permission. In the future, we intend to compile a collection of the top websites created on Siter.io.
