Programmer during the day and a voracious reader by the night, I had read over 150 popular self-help books to realize that 70% of the amazing knowledge from the books is lost within 40 days of reading. What if we could convert the teachings of the world's best authors into concrete real-life actions to boost our productivity? What if instead of just reading another article about the habits of Bill Gates, we could actually practice them to improve our lives? My mobile app, ProductivityMentor, does just that! With the help of this app, you will: ➡️Master the best productivity skills ➡️Acquire new habits ➡️Understand what it takes to wake up every morning energized and ready to accomplish even the most difficult tasks. Your learning journey will be fun thanks to the gamified approach of the app where you get to earn stars and unlock new skills. ProductivityMentor covers: ✔️Time management - Double your productivity! ✔️Self-discipline - Success isn’t an accident—you must build the discipline to work hard. ✔️Workflow - Employ the fundamentals of managing workflow, implement an elevated and integrated total life management system, and leverage skills to create clear space and get things done. ✔️Essentialism - Do more with less, and more importantly, do the right things. Don’t waste your time on things that don’t matter. Your time and energy are precious, and this path will teach you how to spend them in the most beneficial ways. ✔️Morning routine - Designing your perfect morning ritual will energize and empower you to make the most of your day. ✔️Willpower - Harnessing, training, and applying your willpower will boost your productivity and, in turn, your health and happiness. … and more!

The biggest problem when it comes to all kinds of self-help books is that they are not designed to be practical. The book is just a book. I can see that this app may be on something - to provide what books are missing. Is the app paid or free?
Greg Swierad
@jjhinson It will be free for at least 3 months. Once we decide to convert to the paid version, we will give nice discount for the registered users.

Thanks @greg_swierad great idea. My only personal concern is signing up for too many and not doing any of them! Would be great to hear the time of day people are doing this to ensure it's done and not another notification on my phone. Keep up the great work! Also, the UX needs a bit of work, as I have to click in to each section before knowing what it is, perhaps rectangle buttons that fit the longer words might work? Same with when you select a skill, not sure if you want me to select the first option (which turns out to be the way to do it). I LOVE the app, just looking forward to seeing you guys improve and crush it! If you want to chat growth for the app give me a shout I'm on here and can see my work with other startups etc app.growthmentor.com/mark-cann/
Greg Swierad
@mark_cann Thanks Mark for the thought feedback. We decided for a few major changes, and pretty all you mentioned will be improved. I would love to talk to you, yes!

@greg_swierad Great, I don't think they have a messaging feature on here yet, feel free to book a time here: www.calendly.com/morevideo/

woah looks super interesting so like tools of giants or tribe of mentors but digital?
Greg Swierad
@temirlan You can look at this app from this perspective, yes. Although, those books are to me very messy and random. What we try to do is to order this knowledge to have smooth paths of development.
Rob Renfroe
This is fantastic esp given the corona circumstances when most of us are at home. I have a question: Do you plan to add more books?
Greg Swierad
@robrenfroe Yes, of course, we will be adding more books. Our goal is to have all possible knowledge related to productivity in one app. If there is a specific book you would like us to add first, you can vote for it here: https://www.mentorist.app/vote/
Kriti Spinoff
I love how I can earn stars for my progress. Really good app! Can you please tell me for how long will you keep the app totally free?
Greg Swierad
@kriti_spinoff We are going to keep it for at least 3 months. After this time, we will give some special discount for current users.

Awesome! This is exactly what I need. I have been trying to use the lockdown time as effectively as possible and this will help a lot.
Greg Swierad
@davidcosslett We were working very hard last week, to launch it especially for people that are in the lockdown. And also we decided to make it completely free for at least 3 months. Stay productive!

Hi Greg, nice product and really nice service. I run a mentoring platform, Ei: trying to help others grow and succeed in their professional lives. Wanted to know if you would be open to partner up with us on guest blogging or any other kind of cross marketing. As we are quite complementary, getapy.com (my service) helps your people practice what they learn from your tool and vice versa. DM if interested. Best,
Kevin Bowles
Thanks a lot! I have read lots of great books about productivity but still feel that I haven't done enough. This will certainly solve the issue. 500 productivity strategies?
Greg Swierad
@kevinbowles Strategies, tactics, habits, principles - all what self-help books provide.

Sounds great! I like the idea because it is asking me to do something rather than just read. I already have apps for reading. My suggestion: It would help if the skills were categorized based on life stages. For example, the skills a student might need to be productive are different than what a CEO needs
Greg Swierad
@lukecrane That's a great idea. We actually noticed, that when we categorize it by type of the skill, people are not always sure where they should start. If we categorize it by what you suggested - by where people are in their lives, we can create a clear path of development of every person. Personally, I'm thinking about connecting it to machine learning in the future, to determine what's really working and what's not, in order to have maximum efficiency.

I used SkillMentor for a long time. Having a free app only about productivity is a great idea. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next!
Iryna
Absolutely love your idea. Already downloaded the app.
Terry Myers Andrews
Very helpful in matching my needs to the right tech.
Justin Pyle
Great! Definitely better than reading just another book on productivity. I will try it.
Robertas Kurakovas
I use it daily !

Love this tool!
