@helloduane Thank's Duane! An approval queue has been one of our most requested features in the past couple of weeks. We started work on our approval system last week and it's definitely coming in a not-too-distant future release.

Slack seems like a great alternative to Facebook pages for more serious communities. A paywall should help keep out trolls as well. Slick product with many exciting use cases.
@sven_e This is exactly the thought that led us to creating SlackPass. One of our early mottos was 'Keep the Trolls Out'!

Good to see Slackpass on Product Hunt. Until recently I was manually approving every application to my slack community. It almost put me off of promoting it to much because I had to process all the applications. Fortunately Slackpass has done away with that. Now I just point people at the Slackpass page and sit back. :)

Fantastic idea, really well executed. I like the freemium model of charging only for paid invites. Do you have any examples of a person or business who has a really successful paid Slack community?
@kleneway Thanks for the kind words, Kevin! There are a lot of examples of successful paid Slack communities we've seen on SlackPass. A few specific examples:
Brian Swichkow runs a successful paid group where he teaches people how to grow their online followings (https://slackpass.io/ghostinflue...).
Kalabox combined a free group with paid premium support for their customers (https://slackpass.io/kalabox/sup...)
Paul Armstrong helps executives stay in tune with the tech news and the social media landscape with his paid group SocialLens (https://slackpass.io/hereforth/s...)
LaToya Allen at SheNomads also combined a free group with paid private channels where she would teach women the basics of Ruby. (https://slackpass.io/shenomads). Her group grew so quickly that she was able to move to a sponsorship model.

This is literally the best thing ever. It's weird how I have an issue finding an app for something and the next day it's on Product Hunt! I'm building a community on Slack and can't wait to put this to use!

Having used a custom built solution for the last year, I was eager to not be the one dealing with the onslaught of associated issues. We converted to SlackPass just over a month ago and have seen a 200% increase in conversions (largely a result of their "free trial" functionality which get's people addicted fast).
Looking forward to the development of their product roadmap, keep crushing it dudes!

I've been using it since early beta, and I can say the customer service has been flawless.
It was just the solution I needed to keep a high quality community without the hassle of tech complications.

I set up SlackPass for a community that didn't actually come to fruition, but the process was as simple as can be. If I get to a place to try again, this is the only solution I'll go to.

I think SlackPass solves a concrete problem that Slack fails to address. It's still early days with SlackPass for me, but I can see the promise. Best of luck guys!

SlackPass blew me away!
I'm known as the guy that makes business and technology Stupid Easy® so when I came across SlackPass my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how easy it was to create a subscription plan.
SlackPass allows anyone to set up a subscription plan literally in minutes. It's so easy and such a clean interface making it visually pleasing for everyone. Great product here!
