Haven’t tried it out but it looks really cute! The following is not a criticism of the app itself but rather my thoughts on gamified to do lists in general:
The desire to make a boring part of life feel more like a game is very understandable. The thing though is that life is already a game in the sense that you complete tasks and you get proportionate rewards, there are random events that can give you a boost, slow you down or even kill you, just like in RPGs. Games are modeled after real life and now we’re trying to turn real life into a game. See the irony?
I found that there’s more to gain in seeing life itself as the kind of game it already is compared to trying to turn it into one it’s not.
@anna_0x Thank you for the feedback!
I love the way you think, it is a very interesting perspective. It’s true that life could be like games, but somehow many might forget to enjoy the fun out of it and it’s not that easy to start over in real life. The gamification we put in our apps aims to remind users of all the interesting stuffs in life and motivate them to enjoy this game. 💪
@pau_todo Got it! We’ve received similar feedback from other users and we’re discussing to shorten/skip the onboarding process while at the same time letting beginners know the concept. Thanks for your feedback!
I am writing to you because I have gained a new level of appreciation for the app industry and feel now that I am at the stage where I really need an app mentor, I have become heavily invested into the app world, I have multiple idea concepts, have taught myself adobe xd design, written business plans, discovered my competitors, evaluated markets, learned some app accounting, step by step processes and the whole lot. But I am still just one person running blind. I have only learned but you people have truly experienced and whilst this may not be the appropriate medium to contact I feel no one would be better to really point me in the right direction.
@tysonrn I am glad to hear your passion for the app industry, but it’s also upsetting to hear your struggle. In the app industry, there’s a lot of different fields like programming, marketing, UI/UX design, and so on. I believe the fastest way to get familiar with the app industry is just to dig into a field and grab any chance you can find to work in an app company. being in the industry in person is the key that helps you find your path. Good luck!
The design and the idea behind is amazing, but the onboarding flow is really long. I always discover the product on my own, and it makes me angry if I cannot close the tips, and dummy task :(
