If I got it right, this All-in-one idea is to cut all the work of integrating BI tools and ETL tools in order to build a Data Warehouse environment in an easier way. The thing is... nowadays we have very powerful tools that even if it's hard to integrate, they compensate with lots of features. This integrated tools of SlicingDice are basic? Or they are really an option to work with? Loved the whole idea of the product!

Hi @dbtorrico, I would honestly say that: - Our database technology is 150% of what the market currently offers. - Our Data Loading (ETL) module is 100% of what 99% corporations really need, but it's around 75% of other offerings like Fivetran, Alooma and other specialized ETL solutions. - Our Data Visualization (BI/Dashboard) module is 100% of what 99% corporations really need, but it's around 60% of other offerings like Tableau, QlikView and other specialized BI solutions. Anyway, during 2019 we will be working really hard to reduce the small gaps we have on the ETL and BI modules.

Despite the high prices charged by other companies in the Data Warehouse industry, people pay for only one reason: reliability. Why should I trust a service with a lower price than that practiced by other companies?
Gabriel Menegatti
Indeed @julianormgalli. We have lower prices simply because we heavily invested in data compression technology for almost two years, that way we can have much lower data storage costs than our competitors. It's true that we don't have a very known brand yet, but that will change very rapidly if we keep our current growth rate. Besides all that, the truth is that we are much more reliable than most of other solutions, simply because we don't expect you to learn anything to manage our technology, we handle everything, like replication, high availability, backup and so on.

Is it easy to import my data into SlicingDice 2.0 ?
Gabriel Menegatti
Hi @guilherme_sr, thanks for asking. It's indeed very easy, as we have a built-in data loading and syncing module that allows you to automatically load and constantly synchronize data from more than 50 different sources. Here is our Docs about this module: https://docs.slicingdice.com/v1/...

That's awesome! How's SlicingDice different from other Data platforms ?
Alessandro Stamatto
Very interesting! What's the Price Model?
Gabriel Menegatti
Hi @alessandro_stamatto, we have two different pricing models: - Pay-per-gigabyte, that costs only US$0.25 per Gigabyte stored on your database. or - Pay-per-column, that is our pricing model innovation and that we charge US$ 2.50 for each column you have on your database, no matter how many values/rows you have on your database, it's totally unlimited. You can select which option is better (cheaper) for your use case. :-) On this page you can find all the pricing details: https://www.slicingdice.com/pric...
