Hey everyone, Excited to be on Product Hunt today! I built SmarterQueue because I couldn’t find what I needed in a social media scheduling tool when I was launching my previous startup, and hundreds of other entrepreneurs and marketers I spoke with complained about the social media tools that they were using. The product has been rigorously tried and tested by our beta customers since then, and we've putt together something that will really help speed up your social media scheduling. It's made with startup founders and makers in mind, so you can spend less time worrying about social media, and more time growing your business. Thanks to @mnlfrgr from Maître Viral Referral Waiting List for being an early adopter and helping validate that the product works for busy founders! And @brianleejackson for writing an awesome early review about why he cancelled his Buffer and MeetEdgar subscriptions. 🎁 PRODUCT HUNT OFFER - As well as helping you save time, you can also save money with our special offer - we're giving away 2 FREE MONTHS. Use https://smarterqueue.com/producthunt to get your first 2 months absolutely free on our Agency plan (worth $160!). So what makes SmarterQueue different? Here are a few of the most-loved features from our beta customers: 🚥Content Categories with a drag-and-drop Posting Plan - teaching SmarterQueue how you like your content spread out, so you never have to manually schedule a post again 🔍 Content Curation - so you can find high-performing content for your niche, and fill your queue with engaging posts in seconds ♻️ Evergreen recycling with Variations - perfect for re-purposing your blog posts, Twitter recycling, and A/B testing 🗓 Content Calendar with great post previews - see exactly what’s going out and when 📊Analytics - some nifty tools in here like category-level stats, engagement per Evergreen cycle, and best time to post. You can also analyse your competitors and learn their secrets - it's like god-mode for social media! 🎄We just added Seasonal Categories, so you can schedule campaigns for events or holidays (and re-use them each year), or set up a one-off campaign without interfering with your regular schedule 📱The website works great from your phone, so you can add/edit posts and review your stats on the go! 📌 Oh, and we support Pinterest as an official Marketing Partner (so won't get shut down like Boardbooster) Please take a look around and feel free to ask any questions or share any feedback - we’d really appreciate your thoughts. Most importantly, we'd love to hear about your current pain points and wishlist for social media management - we're always keen to learn what people need, and then deliver something that helps solve their problems. 🙌 We’ll be around to join in the discussion in the comments. 🎁 PS: On launch day (29/11/2018), we're running a 24 hour competition to give away One FREE Year on the Agency Plan (worth $815) 🎓 PPS! If you’re a registered non-profit or in education, find out how you can get a 50% discount permanently! 👩‍💻 We're hiring! See our job listings on the right!

@mnlfrgr @brianleejackson @claudeschneider Love the launch! Just wanted to know - anything significantly different to Buffer, Hootsuite and the other bunch of apps around?
Emma Tiegan
@mnlfrgr @brianleejackson @suhasmotwani Thanks so much Suhas! That's such a great question! Many of our Customers are ex-buffer users who made the switch as they were looking for a more powerful tool which saves them more time. The main differences between us and Buffer is that you can categorise your posts and set them to post/recur seasonally. For example, right now we're seeing lots of our Customers smartly (pun intended) seasonally categorise their upcoming Christmas posts. This means they can enjoy many Christmases to come without worrying about their social promotions/engagement posts over holiday periods. You will also be able to effortlessly tweak and line up each post whilst creating them to keep your feed fresh and exciting (Variations feature). On top of this, SmarterQueue also has content curation, and analysis of your social profiles/posts! 🎉 With us, you'll be able to analyse what works specifically for your unique audience - all of these features Buffer doesn't offer. We've written direct comparisons for SmarterQueue vs Meet Edgar and Hootsuite in the links below; https://smarterqueue.com/smarter... https://smarterqueue.com/smarter... Hope this helps 😀
Brian Jackson
@mnlfrgr @claudeschneider @suhasmotwani Hey Suhas! As one of the early users of SmarterQueue, all I can say is there are probably a hundred things you can do in it, that you can't do in Buffer or Hootsuite (too many to list!) I know that sounds crazy, but Claude is seriously a data junkie and thinks of everything. I highly recommend you dive into the trial and you'll see what I'm talking about 😉. Be ready for your mind to be blown!
Mikayla Kayne
@mnlfrgr @brianleejackson @claudeschneider Thank you for creating SmarterQueue and for keeping it simple and affordable. This is perfect even for solopreneurs. Keep up the great work!
John Chan
Can't recommend SmarterQueue enough 🙌 My partner and I swears by SmarterQueue and we've been using it to manage all of the accounts/entities we're involved in. We switched away from Hootsuite and have been using it since the early days when SQ was just focused on content curation, evergreen recycling, and analytics. @claudeschneider and team have been super responsive to bug fixes and feedback and there's been so many improvements since. Kudos on the launch! 🎉
Emma Tiegan
@jtcchan Thanks SO much for the love - I've shared your feedback with all the team 🎊 We're so happy to have you as a Customer and have so many cool new features in store for you too... 😎
GaBoR iMRe

Tried all the big names but based on the features this one looks really good one! I don't want to use more tools for content recycling anymore.

Pros:

Content Recycling

Cons:

Need to test it out

Claude Schneider
@aionhill good to hear that recycling is one of your key needs - hope the Product Hunt offer gives you plenty of time to check everything out!
Donna Moritz

I have been using SmarterQueue since they were in Beta and have written about it numerous times on my blog. I love what they have built and I moved over to using them from Edgar early on because I was frustrated with Edgars pricing vs the features they didn't develop. I like that SmarterQueue has added variations and I am playing with them currently (which helps to comply with Twitter's repeat content rules).

However what I would love to see is even more control over variations so we can create even more of them at once. If you could insert more than one text snippet type + a category for hashtags + a caetgory for emojis then that, combined with the current option for text + images will give you infinite combinations! I hope that this can come soon as I can still see that I will have to spend a bit of time checking them and changing them once they hit a repeat in the cycle. Emojis and hashtags would give me way more scope! But so far it's a great tool and I am sure it will continue to improve. Well worth ditching Edgar and going with this tool - you'll be able to achieve more and have more $$$ in your pocket.

Pros:

Awesome content recycyling and variations. Great analytics. Easy to find content to share or migrate content. Always adding features.

Cons:

Emojis for variations doesn't include search and favourites. Can't add hashtags or emojis as a variation set or extra text snippets.

Sarah Lockwood
@sociallysorted Hi Donna, Thanks so much for leaving this great review. It's really helpful to see all your thoughts on the new variations feature which I've shared with the rest of the team. We're always trying to improve, so do keep sharing your feedback. Thanks for ditching Edgar for SmarterQueue 😺
Claude Schneider
@sociallysorted Hi Donna, thanks for the review, and especially the feedback about how you think Variations could be improved. I'll follow up with you to get a better picture of how you would want it to work, but I think what you're asking for is do-able, and would be very helpful! Only caveat is that simply changing hashtags/emojis between variations may not be enough to avoid being seen as duplicate content by Twitter's algorithms
Rebecca Cooper Lowe

I've used a number of social media schedulers in the past, and this is hands-down the most useful for the price. The nicest thing to me is how responsive the development team is to customer feedback; it's baked into everything they do, and it shows with the transparent product roadmap that is always kept updated (and an always updated board that allows customers to upvote features they would use.) The co-creation aspect has made the product exceptionally powerful for even the most entry level price point, and the flexible pricing allows one to focus on what they need most from the tool rather than one-size-fits-all.

Pros:

This is the perfect combination of set-it-and-forget-it ease and powerful analytics and content discovery.

Cons:

Can't wait for even more functionality that is on the roadmap, but not yet baked in.

Emma Tiegan
@rebecca_cooper_lowe Thanks so much for sharing the ❤️!

The solution SmarterQueue provided to create evergreen posts and categorizing with time slots was life saving for my team and I. I'm able to focus on the content and copywriting for the posts rather than thinking of when to schedule it all.

Pros:

Having categories and the ability to pre-schedule time slots for our content calendar helped reduce the time spent on scheduling.

Cons:

Some features are still coming.

Claude Schneider
@jennlo_ thanks so much for that feedback and sharing the love! ❤️
Angela Tempest

I've tried most all of the top schedulers and came back to SmarterQueue. I run three businesses so it helps me to organise my content, make sure I am posting to all of my profiles, easily see gaps in the schedule and keep my best stuff on repeat. It is one of the essentials of my business tool box.

Pros:

Evergreen content, categories, posting plan, RSS feeds, multiple platforms, great interface. See the gaps in schedule, browser extension

Cons:

Instagram isn't auto posting (yet)

Sarah Lockwood
Hi Angela, thanks for the kind review and being a loyal customer! Really helpful to see what's most useful for you 😺
MidnightSunHomestead
Absolute Game Changer! This is the BEST tool on the market to help you organize, schedule, and post across ALL platforms. We all know social media marketing can be a massive time consumer, but SmarterQueue has saved me thousands of man hours (and I'm not exaggerating) in posting. Seriously, everything you need to post, re-post, and manage your social media accounts is all in one place here. The extremely friendly user interface is unbelievable, anyone can use it, you don't need to be a tech expert. Want to keep sharing the same content without making it look like the same old thing each time? SmarterQueue is the answer. With the Evergreen feature, you can add different text variations to each image or post so it looks fresh each time! If you're just starting out with your brand you can't afford not to use SmarterQueue. Don't waste 10 hours a day on social media trying to keep up with all the posting, with SmarterQueue you can schedule it all in one place.
Sarah Lockwood
@midnightsunhome thanks for the love!!! 😸😸😸
Elizabeth Harper

I tried Hootsuite and Buffer and my last one was MeetEdgar, an expensive option and while it was cute it just didn't meet my needs. Then I found SmarterQueue. It's easy, visual, logical, and it works. Set up is a breeze and support are responsive. Social media has become so much easier as a result and way more effective.

Pros:

Fabulous platform! I've been using it for most of this year. Repost, queue, put on autopilot once set up, what's not to like

Cons:

I'm not aware of any.

Claude Schneider
@elizabetharper thanks for the great review! It's always helpful to hear what people like about the tool, and especially to hear that it's made a difference to your social media! ❤️
Anthony Bosschem

Well you know. Try it.

Pros:

Incredibly powerful publisher & rescheduler, interesting (raw!) stats.

Cons:

Ugly UI, but features compensate it wonderfully.

Sarah Lockwood
Hi Anthony, Thanks for the detailed review and being such a loyal customer. We'd love to hear exactly what improvements you'd like to see with the UI as this is currently something we're working on. Would you have time to get in touch with your thoughts on what you'd like to see via https://smarterqueue.com/contact? Thanks, Sarah 😺
Claude Schneider
@anthonybosschem glad you find it powerful and the stats are useful. As a photographer myself, I've always wanted to make SmarterQueue even better-looking, and I've hired two new UX/UI designers last month just for that - as @slw57 said, drop us a message with feedback about what you think needs improving, and we'll take all your thoughts on board!
Ashley Mann
I tell all my fellow bloggers about this product. After trialing Agorapulse and Hootsuite, SmarterQueue came out on top AND was significantly cheaper, which is big for a blogger just starting out. Recently one of my blogger friends started using it months after I'd told her about it, and she told me she wished she'd started using it a lot sooner!
Claude Schneider
@ashleyshell Thanks so much for sharing SmarterQueue with your fellow bloggers! It's an honour to hear that you've tried lots of tools and chose and recommend SmarterQueue!
Ashley Mann

As a blogger, I was feeling overwhelmed by keeping up with regularly posting and promoting content to followers on Twitter, Facebook, etc. SmarterQueue has enabled me to put these platforms on autopilot without sacrificing quality. I tested several of their competitors, including AgoraPulse, Hootsuite, and Revive Old Post, and SmarterQueue was the only one that had all the features I wanted/needed, an intuitive user experience, and as a bonus it was one of the cheapest options, so it's affordable even for a blogger just starting out (which I very much appreciated)! I've been using SmarterQueue for about 6 months now with no plans to stop.

Pros:

No longer overwhelmed by social media

Cons:

Can't think of any at the moment

Claude Schneider
@ashleyshell Thanks for this extended review as well as the comment!
Mark Walker

Been using for a few months and had great results, minimal effort to maintain a steady social presence across our brands.

Pros:

Autopilot social, while able to keep control to maintain quality and interest

Cons:

None

Sarah Lockwood
Hi Mark, thanks for the great review. Wonderful to see you're making the most of our smart scheduling features 😺
Rich M

Great product at a fair price - cheaper than most but with better features and far more advanced that Buffer for example

Pros:

Great time saver, loads of amazing features

Cons:

Not found any yet

Sarah Lockwood
Hi Rich, Thanks for your review. Great to see how you've found us compared to Buffer 😺
Ryan Chapman

I just love this platform and the people behind it. They respond, the fix stuff if you ask, and the platform is super powerful. I love it already, but then when I passed the number of queued posts for the pricing plan I was on I was blown away when they let me individually change limits within the pricing plan for small increments in price rather than having to jump to a higher plan with other limits I didn't need so high. Simple things like that make this better than all the others.

Pros:

Easy interface, useful posting features, incredibly flexible pricing, best Pinterest posting ever. I LOVE THIS APP

Cons:

Had to wait for Pinterest capability but now it's here...so no real cons.

Sarah Lockwood
@9010nutrition Hi Ryan, Thanks for lovely and super-detailed review. It's great to hear you find the custom plans work well for you. We're sorry you had to wait for Pinterest - glad to hear it's working well for you now it's here though 😺
Claude Schneider
@9010nutrition we were also waiting for Pinterest's approval with bated breath! It was worth the wait to become an official marketing partner, as they shut down Boardbooster this summer for breaking the rules :S Glad the custom plans are working well for you - we may bring that across to profiles in the future too!
Jenny Chan

I was a customer of SmarterQueue before I joined the team as a developer.

I tried Hootsuite and Buffer before, but neither was as nice to use or as powerful as SmarterQueue. I didn't really need a social media management tool for my Facebook group, but when I read my friend's review of SmarterQueue, I just knew I had to try it.

Pros:

Categories and content recycling keep my posts varied and interesting!

Cons:

No real cons - many features that I haven't had time to try / implement yet

Claude Schneider
Thanks @jenny_chan1 - I guess that's the best testimonial when a customer likes a product so much they decide to join the company! ❤️
Tami Osmer Mize

I've been using SQ for over a year now to manage the social media accounts for two companies. It is simple and intuitive, yet has so many features. It is everything I had been looking for in a social planning/posting platform.

Pros:

multiple scheduling queues, alternate text for retweets, built-in graphics

Cons:

I can't think of any.

Sarah Lockwood
@tglatz Hi Tami, thanks for the great review. Really glad SmarterQueue is working out for you managing multiple clients. Thanks for being a loyal customer 😺
Mikayla Kayne

I love this service. I recommend it highly and often, because after using several other services, I've found no others to compare with their price, features, and reports. You need this!

Pros:

I tell everyone about SmarterQueue. It has the best features and the best price!

Cons:

Haven't found any yet

Sarah Lockwood
@mikayla_kayne Thanks for the kind words, Mikayla! And for sharing the love with others 😺
Aga Gajownik

I love SmarterQueue. It's really intuitive and does the boring work for me

Pros:

beautiful and intuitive

Cons:

can be pricey for a tiny startup but totally worth it!

Sarah Lockwood
@agagajownik thanks for reviewing us and glad you like it. It's great to hear you find SmarterQueue intuitive 😺
Mike Haines

It's so good to see my socials alive and well every day. Get ready for some hard setup work (partic if you have only limited graphics, ideas and marketing resources) - but SQ looks after my socials admirably. Txs Team

Pros:

Easy re-cycles my best content, easy posting interface, handles files and uploads well.

Cons:

Not automatic posting to IG. Categories and how they work on the posting plan to me a while to get used to.

Emma Tiegan
