@petecashmore the story goes that one of the founders of Musical.ly saw this behaviour and used it to create musically. But you knew that ofcourse
@hannes_vlogt ha I actually didn't know that! I remember you could do it on Mindie founded by @gregoirehenrion (I was an investor) -- they went on to build YOLO.
The move makes sense especially with the rise of TikTok and the introduction of Instagram Reels. Interested to see how this would change the dynamic of artists advertising their songs.
This ad was incredibly well made. Congrats to the folks at the marketing department at Snapchat! Made me want to re-download the app :)
