SnapTug for macOS — OCR, Copy & Paste, QR Code Reader

Hi Product Hunt, I'm a hobbyist programmer with a big love for small tools that simplify routine tasks. I'm a firm believer in subtracting steps, not just rerouting them. It's with this philosophy, I'm excited to introduce my new project: SnapTug. SnapTug is a handy menubar app for macOS that lets you copy text from anywhere on your screen, even if it's not selectable. Just hit ⇧⌘2 or choose "Capture" from the menu, then take a screenshot of the text you need. SnapTug uses OCR technology to recognize the text and copy it to your clipboard. It's not just for text, though. SnapTug can also read QR and bar codes. If it finds a URL in a QR code, it'll open it up for you automatically. Plus, SnapTug keeps track of the last 10 items you've copied, so you can easily grab them again if you need to.
