WALTR 2 β Transfer any content to your iOS device without iTunes
With WALTR 2, you can wirelessly drag-and-drop any Music, Ringtones, Videos, PDF & ePUB files into iPhone, iPad or iPod without iTunes (& no extra apps). Even files that aren't supported by iTunes, such as FLAC and MKV.
To sum it upβ WALTR 2 is a fantastically efficient solution for all of us who loathe iTunes and value drag-and-drop simplicity.

@joshdance do you mean iTunes on your iPhone? Or the Music app with Apple Music? If so, then YES :)
I see this being really useful for Chrome OS, where there is no official offering from Apple for transferring content to your device. Is that in the works?
@badhairday Definitely something that we have planned. From a business stand point β we decided to start with the most popular OS β Mac/Windows. As soon as we feel a big demand for Chrome OS β we will jump on it right away :)

@ourielohayon to be honest, I've never tried dropbox for transferring mkv, flac, avi and playing on my iPhone. But I'm pretty confident that experience with WALTR 2 will be much smoother and much more pleasant.
@benguild Apple has a lot of things going on lately. Unfortunately, iTunes does not quite look like one of them. Therefore, we decided to help ourselves & all the music and movie lovers out there by releasing our brand new WALTR 2 app. :)
WALTR 2 is a huuuuuge step forward. After all of the feedback and feature requests β I think this time Softorino crafted a perfect product.

Any plans to release WALTR for iPhone to transfer files back to the Mac? Apple's AirDrop doesn't work properly for how long... 3 years now?
@novniel thanks for this feature suggestion, Dany! Actually the main idea behind WALTR 2 is transferring files from your computer to an iOS or non-iOS Apple device. But we would consider this :)
@joshsoftorino I actually have this exact same problem with iTunes :P I copied a bunch of photos and now I can't favorite, edit or delete them. Did you by any chance find a workaround?

@joshsoftorino @nivo0o0 Great solution and super excited to try Waltr 2 out. Very useful for managing file and stuff in general across multiple devices in the family.
@joshsoftorino so glad I got a chance to try this! I love how smoothly it works -- and finally gives me a reason to use the default iOS Video and Music apps.
The ability to just drag media files onto the phone is of the big conveniences I use regularly on my Galaxy 7 Edge, and saw it as a direct limitation in the iPhone... but no longer π
WALTR: Highly recommended, and it goes without saying how wonderful it is to not have to use iTunes...

I was looking for something like this for years!
I would also love to have a reverse solution, specially for my music & ringtones stuff : from iOS devices to computer because iTunes is such a pain...
And btw, the onboarding process is sooo smooth, I love it π»
@matthieudeluze π Thank you, Matthieu!! We may figure out a reverse solution in our upcoming products. Though there are many apps that can already export stuff from your device. For example, iMazing.
@matthieudeluze I am glad you like it! The main idea of WALTR 2 is getting your juicy content onto iOS and non-iOS Apple devices without any hassle. In case you need to get it out, there are already lots of third-party apps for that. But thanks for the suggestion, though! :)
@ivan_pasichnyk Yes, all iPod shuffles are supported and you can drop any music format into it. It will be converted on the fly if needed. π
What an amazing app! Just tried an MKV & MP3 and it works flawlessly. It's so fast! Blown away.
@kodemunki thanks for your awesome feedback, Jurgen! One of the biggest drawbacks of iTunes is the fact that it does not support a lot of mainstream file formats as well as makes you sync your Apple devices every single time you wanna transfer something onto them. On the other hand, WALTR 2 takes care of pretty much any format you throw at it and it does not require you to sync your devices at all β this makes it so fast & convenient! !
@h3nno Hi Henno β WALTR 2 is completely different from AirDrop. You can't airdrop songs and movies onto your iOS device without it going to the camera roll. WALTR takes any file and puts it in the native app without any compression or messing with iTunes. You can also transfer books, PDFs, Ringtones (without even trimming them). And most of all β you never have to worry about the file format of the file.
If you just have regular MP4 videos or home videos β then sure, you can use AirDrop.
@thomas_tomhawk_burningham Hi Thomas, WALTR 2 can only transfer media into the device itself. Not the other way around. But good news β there are tons of apps to export media from an iPhone, probably even here on PH ;)
