Wow, love the concept of Song Exploder. I see they've done an episode with Tycho and RJD2. Will have to listen later. Nice hunt, @shannnonb.

@rrhoover thanks! It really is an awesome concept. I'm obsessed with process and music, so it's like the perfect marriage of the two. :)

I've heard so many good things about Song Exploder, but I've never taken the plunge. Do you have a favorite episode?
Shannon Byrne
@alexcartaz I haven't listened to all of them, but Tune-Yards is definitely a fav so far. However, I am listening to Unknown Mortal Orchestra's episode now, so it might be a close tie. :) http://songexploder.net/tune-yards

First podcast i listened to on PH and what a great one. Really like the idea of Song Exploder and will for sure listen to more episodes. Wish PH podcast page had easy link to "back catalogue";

@imrat great idea. We're exploring something like this.

Love the opportunity given to musicians by this format to offer context about themselves and the piece. It facilitates music discovery from the consumer in a big way. I know this first hand, specifically on this song: I first heard Sylvan Esso on Seattle's KEPX YouTube channel, from which I threw myself into disparate sources of research for the duo.
