I’m excited to announce the release of Sortd 2.0 for Gmail. Why we made Sortd When we started Sortd, we wanted to change the way email is used to manage work. Since we first launched, we’ve learnt a lot more about our customers’ needs. In many companies IM has largely replaced email for internal communication. But for customer communication, it seems that email is here to stay. The problem is - email is messy and hard to keep track of. There just aren't many good tools for keeping track of email and customer-facing work. The few tools that are good take you away from your email (giving you yet another tool to manage). Unlike Trello, Asana, Monday, Clickup etc (all amazing tools, which primarily focus on internal collaboration), Sortd gives you a way to manage both internal and external work in the same place. Customer facing teams can use the same communication tool they use every day to work more cohesively with their partners, customers and suppliers (rather than constantly jumping between browser tabs). We’ve spent countless hours grappling with how best to deal with the needs of a rapidly changing world. And… I think we just might have cracked the code! 🤞 While Sortd remains one of the most tightly email-integrated solutions on planet Earth, it’s now become far more than a workspace for managing tasks and email. Years of learning and speaking with thousands of customers have led us to what we now believe truly is the future of work. Sortd is a blend of email, shared mailboxes, CRM, team Chat, task management & business workflows. All in one system, in Gmail where you are working already, and your entire team is comfortable. We would love you to take Sortd for a spin. Please let us know what you think. Enjoy 🥰 [Update Sortd 2.0] Faster, slicker, easier to use. Now incorporates new Team mailbox features, Zapier integration and automations.

@rodneykuhn congrats on the launch! Sortd is mission control for email. As someone who prides myself in keeping my inbox organised, I can’t wait to try this new version! Do you guys integrate with Notion?
Rodney Kuhn
@gavin_hammar We really ❤️ your support! Definitely take it for a spin to get a sense of the new organizational features. We have particularly focused on creating a much slicker UX in version 2.0 to make it a completely native Gmail experience. In terms of Notion, we are big fans and that is something that we are considering on our roadmap ... as Notion is great for managing internal collaboration and Sortd is great for managing external comms, so they complement each other well.

As a GTD advocate I can see how this can be helpful for managing workflow - breaking work down into buckets with different contexts. Going to take it for a whirl.

@allthingsgtd Makes sense, I can see that it would be good for that. I also need to get my teams' email overhauled. I can't face been cc'd on more mail and having a team email board could be great.

@rodneykuhn This is magic 🌟. I just loaded Sortd and added my first Kanban board. Time to wave the wand over my teams shared Gmail inbox.
Rodney Kuhn
@traceyaires Thanks Tracey, that's very kind. No more pulling rabbits 🐰 out of the 🎩 to keep your inbox under control!

great tool to make converts your emails into a task on a Kanban board, then manage those tasks inside of gmail wihtout jumping into another tool like Trello. Zapier integration to automate stuff. Love it

@neil_matthews Thanks, glad to hear you are enjoying it.

Rodney Kuhn
@martine_hammar So great to hear from you and thanks for your support. As I mentioned to Gav, I absolutely love your product too. Perhaps one day we can add video chat to email to bring it to life! How cool would that be?
John Jost
Really like the product and the new changes are great!

This is an amazing tool, would be easier to be spread amongst small sized companies if you could buy packets of users.
Rodney Kuhn
@thanassis_tsamaldoupis Thanks for your support and for that suggestion. What do you mean by packets of users?
Thanassis Tsamaldoupis
@rodneykuhn, my Engish is bad :), I have a small team 3 to 5 people depending on seasonality, I have to buy 3 active users and add two more each time (the email remains the same) but would be better to have a discount on a package of 5 so I can keep it all the time active and when I want to use it. Something like 1+1+1+1+1=10 euro pachage of 5=5 euro.

Congrats on the Release! This is an Excellent Product. Easy to Use and Configure to your liking. It has made my workload a lot easier to picture and organize for the week. And just found out there is an app too, fantastic. I wish there was a way to create subtasks, for at least 1 level. Sometimes I get 1 email with multiple request so it's easier to have subtasks all under the same email thread.
Rodney Kuhn
@juan_barahona Thanks so much for your support! Subtasks are very much on our roadmap. You're currently able to add checkboxes and many other types of custom properties like statuses, tags, contacts and dropboxes onto cards. I thought that it is also worth mentioning that you can group multiple emails into one card while holding down the Shift key (while dragging an email to a card). Have you tried that before?

Congrats on your launch!
