Reminders is my primary use case for Siri. "Siri, remind me to get the laundry in 35 minutes."

@rrhoover Personally, I never use Siri because I don't like talking to my phone. I'm also almost always on Messenger, so I'm sure to get these reminders, too.
Michael
Not working for me.

Loved it! @lawrencewu_ How do you advise working around traveling? Should I change my timezone each time? What happens to old reminders, will they honor the new or old timezone?
Julio Montas
Thanks!

Great job. Personally, I've always preferred typing in reminders so this is perfect. The name Jarvis implies an assistant that does more than just reminders. Do you have any other feature releases planned in the future?
Daniel Abas
@jonathanzwhite I'm not sure, but I recall trying out a digital assistant called Jarvis that was text based, powered by humans. May be an entirely different company - https://www.producthunt.com/tech...

I love the idea! I tested it but got this message... Hi David, thanks for your message. We are not here right now, but we'll get back to you soon!
David Iwanow
@lawrencewu_ ah ok cool yes I sent it a request, it would be good if it asked for the location question first before it prompted me for a reminder, after I specified Amsterdam, Netherlands it didn't get any feedback as to if it accepted it or did I not give it the required information... some feedback from the bot would be useful. Also I asked for a reminder to be set for 2 hours time... but that was 4 hours ago so ummm I guess that didn't work as planned.
David Iwanow
@lawrencewu_ after I prompted it again... Hello it did ask what city and said thanks but I'm not sure if it accepted Amsterdam, NY or Amsterdam, Holland

It's simple, clean, and works pretty well! I like it. I don't know if I'll make the switch from using Google Now or just the GUI to add reminders but it looks good so far

Tested this product yesterday. It was so cool! :D

How is this different from Carla.io? Just that it's FB Messenger based instead of txt?
Raitis
Thank you! I like when reminders get in my face and don't like talking to my phone either! :)

Caught a weird edge case... using the word "hours" in a reminder omits that word. Even just trying to say "remind me to enter hours tomorrow at 1pm" it just says "okay I'll remind you to enter at 1pm tomorrow"
Shalabh
What am I missing? Can we not already do this more easily with Google now or Siri
lawrence
Hunter
@shalabh_ Personally, I never use Siri because I don't like talking to my phone. I'm also almost always on Messenger, so I'm sure to get these reminders.
Angie
Good work! Is it possible to add weekly reminders and if not, will you add it in the future?
lawrence
Hunter
@angeliqueangiea Thanks Angie! Recurring reminders are definitely on our roadmap. It's kind of tricky to figure out though, since we don't want to potentially spam the user so we also need a way for the user to turn them off, for example. If you want, I'll let you know when the feature is launched (hopefully by tomorrow)!

Hey, I love Jarvis (what a great idea to name the bot after the Stark's assistant). Do you plan to create Vision with more features? :)
Patrik Krupar
The name inspired by Tony Stark's original VA, that's awesome, however, it increased my expectations from your version of Jarvis. I'll give it a try, nice work, though!
Jean-Philippe FONG
Great! How can you identify which user sent a reminder? With the facebook messenger user id?
lawrence
Hunter
@jean_philippe_fong Thanks! As for your q, Facebook sends us a callback whenever we receive a message with a user id attached to it.

Super cool!

Great !!

Great work! This is awesome - very useful. You should share it with the Bots group on Facebook! (if you haven't already). https://www.facebook.com/groups/...

Hello, great idea. The first thing i do, to try to understand what your app does and how... was go to your Landing page. Your landing page is awesome, is incredible clean and have a so beautiful design!. But... your slideshow go SO FAST, BUT SO FAST.. after 10 min trying to read at least 1 conversation, i really have to search in the HTML code for the img tags, then search the pics one by one. How easy is communicate with Jarvis, and how smart it is.. is the heart of your product. This is what you should prove to the world. You are trying to show so much, but so much.. that you lose your point, your essence. You are try to show so much, that we can't see nothing. So let people see, how easy to use and smart is Jarvis. I promise you, they will love it. Sorry for my english. I wish you the Best PS: Again... i love your product.
