We don't believe in labeling emotions as right or wrong. We also believe that for better results, you need to dig deeper. That's why Sphēra is not just a mood tracker; it's your guide into the world of emotions, the real cause of your mood and feelings.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 I am Alina, and I want to share our product with you. Sphēra is an emotional well-being journal and tracker with personalized insights. We understand that the past few years have been challenging for many of us. That's why the idea for Sphēra came about naturally. It is based on our own experience, so we wanted to create a tool that would help us and others understand and cope with our emotions in a healthy and guilt-free way. The app is based on the widely used theory of Basic or Universal emotions. The main idea is to decompose your emotional states, mood, and complex feelings into basic (more simple) emotions so you can be more aware of the origin, triggers, and how to deal with them. "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." The app provides an emotion check-in feature, reflection space, emotional state statistics, and monthly personalized reports based on your check-ins during the last 30 days, where we highlight emotional and behavioral patterns and dependencies. It took eight months and a team of four (including a developer, designer, product/marketing manager, and one customer success role) to create it from scratch with no investments. We worked on the project in our spare time after our main job. We would really appreciate your feedback and comments because they would help us improve our product and make it more useful! We're always open to new information and points of view. Thank you!

@busmark_w_nika Hi, Nika. Thank you for your interest in the subject. Yes, we consulted with several professionals, and they are using this theory in their practice. This tool is perfectly suitable for use while you are in therapy, too.

congratulations on your launch @dream_alin In my experience, using Sphera has been interesting, It has helped me recognize recurring triggers and identify areas for growth. All we want right now is to understand ourselves, and I hope Sphera has opportunities to navigate life's ups and downs, no matter what happens in life. It will also be fascinating to see how the product develops over time.

Congrats on your launch.🎉 I checked your web site and app design, it's really cool, I love it.😍 I'm interested in your app because I've recorded my emotion in other app everyday for about 4 year. So I'm looking forward to compare its but now I cannot access to your app because of location (I live in Japan.) Someday I hope I can try it. Good luck.🤞

Hey Alina! You're stressing out that this is emotional, not a mood tracker. I see many mood trackers out there, so why did you not take that approach? It's a nice app, by the way.
Alina Dremina
@kegfyld Hi Andrey. Thank you for the question; it's a good one, actually. We chose this approach because we wanted to go further into emotional wellbeing and use the practical psychological theory. Mood trackers are great tools to start with, but if you want to work further on your emotional wellbeing and understand the most important part - the origin of your emotional state, then you need to go deeper. Simply put, it works that way: at the beginning, it's emotion, then feeling, and only after - mood. So sometimes it's hard to say why your mood is bad because it's a side effect from a more intense thing - emotion, but you can already forget about it. In our app, we focused on basic emotions because, at the end of the day, it's easier to work with the initial cause than with the "tip of the iceberg." For example, you have anxiety issues. I have it myself, and before I learned about basic emotions and this approach, I thought I just have it, deal with it, ignore it, or try not to worry. Sure, I failed :) When I started decomposing my emotional state into basic emotions, I learned that it is fear that I'm dealing with, and after that, I began to ask myself questions like "What am I fearful of"?, and "Why do I think that it is dangerous to me"? And so on. It was a game-changer for me. We shouldn't forget that emotions are our natural response to events, and we need to follow them closely and not ignore or suppress them. Our emotions are always honest with us :)

I have never used such applications, but I like to try something new. I haven't figured out what the benefits of this app are yet, but I really like their user interface.
