Bonjour Lazare, I signed up, and it looks potentially compelling, but I would recommend making a much higher quality demo video - since you're selling video. Just get a decent mic and show how it works in an example workflow. Right now it seems like I'm in the middle of saying or listening to something extremely important and I have to start waving my hand?
@goldstrom Hi Michael, thanks for your feedback ! Actually the hand feature is just a "viral" feature we thought of, and for which we did a cheap OpenCV implementation.
Calling Spoke is actually a lot simpler by just hitting a keyboard shortcut, at anytime. Would that be also too distracting ? It's one of our main UX questions.
And as regards the video itself...yes I do admit I am not proud of it. We'll definitely upload a decent video in the coming weeks !
@jaketital Thanks for your interest Jake ! We can't wait to put a solid version in the hands of our users ! In the meantime, you can already register and be notified, as soon as the v1.0 is available 😁
Bonjour à tous et à toutes!
Hi Hunters and Makers.
I'm really excited to show you Spoke, the easiest way to summarize, transcribe, and share any video conversations you have.
Spoke allows you to mark moments, at any time, from any video conference software - or anywhere actually.
These guys are amazing. Bonne chance!
@matic_uzmah1 Hey Matic! Happy to see you here and with a new product and team! I will definitely try Spoke. Remember that you are always welcome for any customer support support from Dashly side!
Looks like a great product mate, your voice is very hard to understand because its muffled, would be good to see if you've got another demo i can look at?
@veebuv thanks for your interest ! I'm sorry I didn't have a microphone, with me, the sound is really terrible.
As regards a real-time demo, unfortunately, we noticed, after choosing the date of our product hunt, a bug in some cases of video editing which would really have ruined your experience. 😫
We’re working on it and plan to release a stable MacOS version within one-two weeks !
@timothee_mohr Yes, this is indeed one of the benefits of our app ! Apart from sumarizing your video conversations, you can also quickly create new videos, from what your screen saw.
It definitely has education / meme potential 😄
@lucky_jeffman Thanks for your interest ! For now this service costs 10 USD / Month. And no, not all call participants have to pay, one participant per call is enough.
However that participant then has a total control over the recording, as it is stored locally on his computer 💻
@kprimice thank you for your interest ! For now Spoke is only available on MacOs. We plan to release a Windows Version, in a month and a half, but Linux distributions aren't on our radar yet.
However, we built Spoke using a modular codebase in Rust 🦀, for everything that is not related to system calls. This should allow us to go very fast 💪
@fdgbt Hi Dagbert ! Unfortunately, you'll have to be a little patient 🙏🏾.1-2 weeks max ! In the meantime, you can already register yourself, so you'll be informed as soon as v1.0 is out !
@gary_davidson1 Hi Gary ! Thank you for your interest.
Yes, that's definitely a mishaps on our side, we misconfigured our mail client.
We're in the midst of sorting that out for users who "fell through", and you should receive a confirmation email within the next 2 hours. If it's not the case, feel free to shoot me an email on lazare@fromspoke.com to confirm your registration.
Apologies 🙏🏽
🖖 Hi Hunters and Makers !
5 months ago, we assembled an awesome team (@julien_brsl@vincent_combey and myself) and started to build a video editing AI designed for video professionals. Recently, with the quarantine, we thought of an exciting way to use our tech : Spoke.
Spoke is the easiest way to summarize, transcribe, and share any video conversations you have.
We built it for :
- video-conference sleepers who miss out on important moments 😴.
- hustlers who want to be as efficient as possible in their communication 💫.
- archivists, who want to save any important information that goes through their computer. 📚
We're very excited to share this project with you. We hope you love it as we do!
Thank you @matic_uzmah1 for loving it (almost) as much as we do !
hi Theo !
This a blatant mistake on our site, and I'm really sorry for this error on our side. I'll see to it that you get reimbursed right now.
A functionning email adress is lazare@get-spoke.com, obviously our redirection is not working well.
Don't hesitate to write to me on there if you have any other issues.
Once again, I present to you my sincerest apologies.
Three months have passed since Spoke launched here. I don't see, contrary to what has been promised multiple times on this page, any announcement of an available first Mac release, nor I can do anything practical with the Spoke account I have created.
It would be nice if the authors of this upcoming tool would find a little time to update us with their progress and roadmap, as there has been none in the last two months.
@robingood Hi Robin, thank you for reaching out, and sorry for my delayed answer. Because we worked very hard to release version 1.0, I didn't find the time to come back to ph... Did you see our last release? We completely redesign the web site, greatly improve the recorder, and switched to freemium. You're now able to try spoke for free here www.get-spoke.com If you have any questions, or remarks, feel free to join me by email, I'll always respond within the day! Can't wait to discuss it with you, Best, J
@julien_boursaly Thank you Julien for your kind update. I did already write a short review on Spoke a month ago, but I excited to see that things are further improving.
