I wonder what DJs think of this. We're entering a potentially contentious and philosophical debate about the role of AI vs. human in creative fields. I'm personally very pro experimentation and view technology as an enabler that will unlock new experiences and forms of expression. The most obvious example: Entirely new genres and opportunities were made available through electronic music production (with the personal computer).
@rrhoover I don't think it's just the in the DJ space - I mean AI is getting in every creative space. But tend to agree that we need to see where it goes....

@rrhoover On the positive side, I think those DJs that make AI part of their toolset are the ones who will create more amazing things. Then there's probably a small subset of people who remain really old-school and through their creativity and skills are able to maintain and grow a following that enables them to keep practicing their art.

I think this is awesome. As a DJ and Designer I can look at this from multiple angles and get excited. The DJ side of me is pumped to find new music and artists that are still in the style of stuff I like. Like someone else said here, actual DJs play a lot more than what is on spotify. They play tons of music that isn't released yet, that they wrote etc... How it is all weaved together is their art form.

This is probably the first use of the Sonantic text-to-speech platform they acquired last year. The AI voice is sounding great! Now, what we need is the ability to personalise the DJ, you know, language, male, female, age, hot delivery, calm etc. What a great time to be alive :-)
