TL/DR: Curated startup lessons for entrepreneurs looking to start a company and those in the process of building one.
This app will automatically update with new lessons every month.
Hey PH! 👋
Farokh & Noosh here, makers of Startup 101. Together with our amazing team, we launched the first version of Startup 101 last May, and the feedback was fantastic!
Since then, thousands of entrepreneurs and indie makers have joined Startup 101 and grew it into a most beautiful community.
So we're so excited to launch the new version of Startup 101 with lots of new features, including:
- 10 new courses
- Unicorn board by Crunchbase
- AMA & Community functions so you can ask your questions from our mentors and authors!
Live AMA:
Why we created Startup 101 in the first place?
For a long time, we wanted to curate bite-size startup lessons for busy entrepreneurs, startup founders, and indie makers to help them at the start of their startup journey.
In the past 5 years, especially after selling my first startup, I’ve had the pleasure of working with various startup teams who were mostly in the very early stages of launching their startups. While the journey of each startup is truly unique and can not be compared to one, I couldn’t help myself from seeing very interesting patterns.
I want to share with you these patterns, especially the ones that are the main cause of failure for good ideas with brilliant teams.
We update this app with new lessons every month and, later on, add a lot of awesome features, like a chat system between the community of the founders, a matchmaking feature to help you connect to new founders, and much more.
@farokh_shahabi - Congrats on the launch, Farokh & Noosh! It is good to see a community-driven platform like Startup 101. Can you share more details on the selection process for the courses on Startup 101?
Congratulations on your launch!
Looks like I'm gonna spend some time at start 101. :D
Will new contents keep on adding? How about adding an AI powered chat to let users ask doubts and clear things up?
@satyanarayan_prashar Thank you so much!
Yes, Startup 101 will be updated automatically every month with new courses and mentors!
I think live mentors can help more than AI on this matter. That's why we have an AMA today! You can join right here and ask your questions:

This sounds super insightful. I'm always open to learning and this sounds like it can be a great resource. I love that you can interact with mentors too, that's always the most fun part of any course. Congrats on the launch! 🚀
This app is a great resource for startup lessons. It will automatically update with new lessons every month, so you can always be up-to-date on the latest advice.
This is exactly what I've been looking for! 'Startup 101' provides concise lessons for entrepreneurs, making it easy to understand and apply. Excited for the monthly updates! 👍🏼
Hey! Project seems very interesting and, indeed, timely. Access to valuable knowledge and insights is crucial for founders, especially in their early days.
I added a 'free courses' filter to Knowledgehunt.co a few days ago. We are aggregating the best-in-class free resources for startup founders and enthusiasts (blogs, reports, handbooks, guidebooks, courses, etc.). I would love to add Startup 101 to Knowledgehunt if you guys are willing to as well. Cheers.
Congrats on the launch! I'm always on the lookout for bite-sized information when it comes to learning new things, especially in the world of startups. I love how it is designed like a documentation that walks you through building your startup. I'm excited to dive into and gain some new insights from it.
Well done, Farokh and Mehrnoosh! You did a fantastic job with Formaloo, and I'm sure that these lessons will be invaluable for aspiring entrepreneurs. Congratulations!
Well done guys! This app is perfect for entrepreneurs! Curated startup lessons updated monthly - a valuable tool for building successful companies. Kudos to the creators!
Looking for that for a while, I mean a resource like that in one place! well done. wait, how we can find the other founders in the same stage we are in, through the stage we are reading, or other available segments? some kinda networking or ready-to-talk people!
The idea is great! Ideal for starting and also improving an existing startup. I really like the automatic content updates and the community chat in new features. :)
It is an exceptional solution for entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts looking for a comprehensive guide to starting, growing, and scaling their businesses. I highly recommend it and love the new Community feature that simplifies networking, sharing ideas, and getting feedback from others in the startup community.
Great job guys!
This is an amazing resource for entrepreneurs! The automatic updates every month ensure that the lessons are always recent and relevant. Highly recommend!
I think Startup 101 is a really valuable resource for anyone looking to start their own business or improve their existing startup. The platform's collection of resources, articles, and guides covers a wide range of topics related to entrepreneurship, from validating your idea to fundraising to marketing and more. I appreciate the clear and concise writing style, as well as the practical advice and insights that are based on real-world experience. The interactive quizzes and checklists are a great way to assess your knowledge and progress, and the ability to connect with other entrepreneurs and mentors in the community is a huge plus. Additionally, the platform's focus on inclusivity and diversity is really commendable, as it recognizes the importance of representing and supporting a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds. Overall, I think Startup 101 is a valuable tool for anyone looking to build a successful startup, whether you're just starting out or have been in the game for a while
@maria_j_ray Thank you Marja!
I too, belive Community-led growth is the new PLG.
Community is the key that makes a product successful. The first members of any community are die-hard fans of that product. Having a community is not about communication. It’s about “finding new opportunities” to make the product even better.
