@narminablb
The problem I had was always forgetting to set my status to reflect my working hours.
I used the notification settings from slack itself but it wasn't flexible enough for me.
I tried other apps but all of them are paid.
So why not build my own scheduler.
If you want to support the project please install the app in slack. I need the first 10 Workspaces to get the app in the slack app store :)
I like the name and the logo! Automated Slack status updates could be a great time-saver for remote teams.
How does Status Butler handle conflicts between scheduled updates and manual changes?
Congratulations on the launch, Abdul-Aziz! It seems like a helpful tool for improving communication in distributed teams
@kyrylosilin
Thank you very much.
There is a priority scheme for Status Butler.
For example One-Time blocks have a higher priority than the Schedules. If a Block is active then a schedule at in the same time frame will be skipped for the period of the block.
And if The user changed the status after the Status Butler set it, then it doesn't try to reset it. It just schedules the next update.
Hi @aziz_da! Status Butler sounds like an amazing efficiency booster for Slack users ๐. The flexibility in scheduling and simple interface really stand out, and the upcoming custom automations feature looks promising! How does Status Butler integrate with other Slack apps to enhance productivity even further? Great work! ๐
