Do you know how many runs you've gone for in the past year? Yoga classes? Kickball games? With Steddy you will, and you'll probably make more time for them too. We make scheduling and following through on your exercise simple.

App looks pretty slick. I download and onboarded and have a couple thoughts. - After building a plan and "committing" to it the app got stuck on the screen with a big checkmark...I'm assuming this is not intended. - I try to do a bunch of different things 3x a week. I run, stretch and do yoga all 3x per week, but I don't necessarily care which day of the week I do them. It often depends on the weather or what days I want to run and the other activities fall into place depending on this. Do y'all have any plans to enable such usage in Steddy?
Raffi Chilingaryan
@golear uh oh! We're aware of this bug. Just kill the app (swipe to close it) and re-open. Should do the trick. As for planning flexibly (without specific days)... we're pretty into this. I actually love the idea of just saying "how many of x, y, and z do I want to do each week and then shuffling around the days afterwards." I suppose we made a design decision that the most common baseline use case is scheduling and hoping it motivates you to follow through, but this is top of mind for an alternate "mode." Hooking in a weather API is also going to be a game changer. Thanks so much for that feedback!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@golear by the way, this is fixed now in the new version! Thanks again for flagging :)
Varun Razora
What kind of activities you are tracking of users?
Raffi Chilingaryan
@varunrazora we let users track any activity they want to! You can log anything from sports, to lifts, to yoga classes using our plan builder. Let me know if you are making a plan and feel like there's anything missing :D
Raffi Chilingaryan
@varunrazora if you were asking more about data privacy, we don't collect any personally-identifiable information. You can actually use the app fully with no email registration. So all we know is that "user_id_91209i3asjldhas likes to do lots of abs!" (for example).
Varun Razora
@raffi_chilingaryan1 I am more concern about how efficiently i track myself during different activities
Raffi Chilingaryan
@varunrazora aha! I see what you're talking about. For now the two ways to add data to a workout are simply to add notes and rate its difficulty. We think there is beauty in that simplicity, because it applies to virtually everything you can do. But over time we'll add specific "quantifiable" variables like weight, reps, time, distance, etc. to give you more detail. Maybe even video recordings so you can go back and see what a specific day looked like!
Brittany Joiner {Britt the Builder}
I am terrible at exercising - maybe the novelty of a new app will help me do better! Going to try this out!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@britt_joiner hopefully thanks for sharing and for trying us out Brittany! We're really trying our hardest to be thoughtful about the steps people take when building an exercise habit from nothing. We're definitely not all the way there yet, but we think that planning your activity, taking credit for smaller things like walks, and watching your data emerge can be really empowering. Classic motivators like streaks are in there too, and we're going to be adding so much more as we go. We'd love to hear your initial feedback about how your journey progresses :) you got this!

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Raffi & Christoph here – cofounders of Steddy. Steddy is a mobile app that will change the way you think about your exercise routine. You could read the rest of this long comment if you want, but you're probably better off just poking around the app and choosing what kind of exercise you are going to do for the rest of the week. That's all there is to it. We don't tell you what to do (unless you ask us to) and every user's experience is 100% unique (like a snowflake). But if you insist (either because you are skeptical or you simply enjoy our prose) we'll gladly tell you more... After a full year, a simple system we used to keep ourselves more active on a weekly basis has become a beautifully designed accountability tool. We like to describe Steddy as an operating system for your exercise. This means whether you: 1. Walk🚶 2. Run 🏃‍♀️💨 3. Lift 🏋️‍♀️ 928. Play 🎾 ⚽ 🥏 or 929. go to a HIIT class 🥵 ... you can track it in Steddy with just two taps! 👆👆 That's right: no more kicking yourself because your ⌚ battery died! Steddy instantly generates a robust history of your activity trends, intensities, and notes. We love looking at these to reflect on our patterns of behavior and optimize our next steps. Our Story With busy lifestyles, we found it easy to fall off track with our exercise. We tried using tons of different apps but none of them gave us a system that was flexible enough, so we generally ended up using pen and paper (or simply the notes app) to track our workouts. If you find yourself relying on generic tools (Notes, Excel, Notion) to plan your exercise, or if you’re just curious to see how Steddy works, we think you will love this product. Steddy is 100% free and requires no personal information to use. If you are kind enough to give it a shot and share your thoughts with us, you can find a feedback form in the app or just drop a comment right here (you can also shoot an email to raffi@steddy.health and I’ll respond right away). We’ve designed Steddy with a ton of care. Our goal has always been to make a product which is truly delightful to use because, hey, if we could make our own exercise planner fun to use... maybe we would actually end up exercising more! We're excited to add social features so that you can see your friends’ activities, set shared goals, and receive support from one another. If you want to keep up with the journey you can do so by following our Twitter or Instagram accounts. Finally - a special thanks to Ben Lang (@benln) from Notion for hunting us today. We appreciate your eyeballs! Rock on and stay moving people, Raffi --- Now... let's end on a quick poll (just for fun): Do you feel like you've gotten an optimal amount of exercise in the past month?
Raffi Chilingaryan
@fares_aktouf thank you! It’s been a journey!

Who doesn't like checking things off their checklist???? I love that Steddy allows "being active" to take so many forms. It's been helping me for a while now to be more intentional about making space for healthy activities in my daily life.
Raffi Chilingaryan
@d_h007 our thoughts exactly! "Supercharged to do list for your exercise" is one of the catch phrases we used to use for Steddy until it started to feel a little bit wordy 😂 but that's exactly what it is! So glad to hear it's been helpful for you.
Michael Essiet
Love to see it 😂. That was the best showcase I've seen all year. I was just about to stop working out but I think this might keep me on track again. Looks awesome and will definitely give it a try
Raffi Chilingaryan
@devshogun 😂 I was shook and had no idea what to do. Please let us know how your plan goes!!! 💪
Steven Birchall
This is great, adding it to my phone now.
Raffi Chilingaryan
@stevenbirchall amazing! Please let us know how well Steddy works for you 🥳🥳
Raffi Chilingaryan
@stevenbirchall just wanted to shamelessly remind you to make sure you're on v10.3.2 in the app store Steve! We fixed some bugs after you made that comment and don't want our new friends running into them unnecessarily :)

Congratulations on the launch!

@shubham_khapra thank you!
Edward Huang
Just downloaded. UI looks smooth, onboarding is simple, and I was able to create a plan right away. The key question in my mind is one of motivation. For me, I have just enough energy to get myself to the gym 3 days a week. Logging on to track my workout feels like extra effort and mental energy. I don’t believe that I am intrinsically motivated to track my workout for accountability. Am I simply not your target audience or is their a use case for Steddy for me? Thanks!!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@edwardhuang this is incredibly useful feedback, Edward! If you already have that motivation and you are satisfied with your routine, then perhaps you're not our target audience. However, if you are able to get past a critical window of Steddy usage you may start to see trends emerge which you enjoy feeding data into. In this case you'd fit into the bucket of "users who like Steddy for its analytical tools" rather than "people who use Steddy to start a brand new exercise routine." We want to help both groups as much as possible, but especially the latter, and we realize that some wearable automation or smart reminders may be helpful to reduce that mental friction you're talking about. I think it's also on us to convince you of the value in our scoring system. We want to eventually land on a 0-100 scale that our users prefer as the default metric for their "workout routine" over anything else. Thanks so much for checking out the product and leaving this comment!
Maja Mazur
Love this idea, congrats on the launch guys! Definitely going to check it out, I love it is fully customisable. Let me know if you'd like to talk about a collab - we allow people to buddy up for outdoor activities, so there's some potential there!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@majamazur thank you Maja! We're stoked to hear your thoughts about our product. Yes, it totally does sound like there's potential for collaboration. Shoot me an email :)
Devon McCalmon
As I started to get back into working out I've deeply enjoyed using Steddy!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@devon_mccalmon that's so awesome to hear Devon! The reason that we made this thing. Thanks for sharing your experience :D
Ronnie Baskin
congrats with the launch
Raffi Chilingaryan
@doodles1 thank you! Hope you give us a try and find Steddy useful :D
Sally Jacobs
great work. congrats!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@sjacobs89 thanks a ton!
Eric Park
Okay. This is actually awesome. Started going to the gym literally last week so this came at the perfect time. Excited to check it out!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@eric_park7 okay Eric!! Let's make these gains! (and track them in Steddy 😉). I must admit I think it'll help with the new workout routine, especially if you're intentional about adding notes to each workout (that has been the most useful thing for me). I try to stay aware of my own bias as a maker of the app, but I really do feel like I've stayed on track more ever since we launched and I hope that can be true for you, too! Shoot us any feedback/feature requests that come to mind any time.
Andrew
Looks awesome!!!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@andrew900 thank you! Really hope you find it useful, and always feel free to hit us up with questions!
Shayan Avanessian
This is a great app! It has all the tools/customizability I need to track my progress, and it’s both fun and easy to use. Would love some sort of mode to have ~friendly~ competitions with other users and friends. Thanks for helping me stay on track with my health!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@s_avaness We've been working our booties off to keep making it simpler and easier and we're glad you appreciate it! Totally hear ya about social - some friendly competition never hurt anybody, right? :)
Grace Lu
I love habit building apps and fitness and have apps for reminding me to do things like drink water & planning my workout routines. Steddy seems somewhere in the middle where it accomplishes pieces of both, but would love to have standard tracking metrics during exercises (miles run, heart rate, reps of each exercise at the gym, etc). Also when I click the check mark and complete the exercise, it asks me how it was but then I can't click submit. Otherwise, UI and copy is more beautiful than everything I use currently.
Raffi Chilingaryan
@1password_grace we're on this bug right now! Thank you so much for calling it out! 🚨 and such high praise! We're glad you appreciate the attention to detail that we've put into our product. Wearable sync is definitely on the feature roadmap. We just want to make sure we really nail it 😉
Andi Sarkisian
Been using this app for a few months now. The UI’s been getting better and better. My suggestion would be to implement a social function. It would motivate me to stick to my workout goals!!
Raffi Chilingaryan
@andi_sarkisian1 thank you for noticing the hard work we've been putting in as pixel craftsmen! We love the idea of social and will be working towards it by the end of the year! I personally can't wait to see and share workouts with friends.
