Storeo for Instagram — Make Instagram Stories longer than 15 seconds

While stuck in a cube doing work I didn't like, I spent my free time learning all the skills I needed to build my own apps. I was looking for a good idea when @martindale2u came to me this past January. He had a problem because he regularly wanted to say more than would fit in a 15 second Instagram Story. To fix this, we partnered up to build Storeo. A first for both of us! After 150 hours of development, we launched in April, 2017. It was a huge hit. People were raving about how much they love Storeo.. In fact we had an Android user go buy an iPhone so he could use Storeo! We pioneered the “seamless story” concept to great success. You now see folks from the Seattle Seahawks to celebrity Tony Robbins using Storeo or one of its less popular clones. -------------- Storeo is a freemium app with around 10% conversion rate for the $9.99 in-app purchase to remove the watermark. 2017 TIMELINE Jan — Initial idea Feb — Learn React Native and build ugly prototype Mar — v1 development & beta testing with 20 people Apr — App Store launch. $290 in sales May — $480 sales Jun — $570 sales July — $1,070 sales, featured by Small Talk Social Aug — $1,360 sales, featured by Buffer and SocialMediaExaminer Sep — $1,520 sales, featured by Social Chefs Oct — $2,700 sales, featured by Later (twice!) Easy to use and makes for creating long form content on IG stories much easier.

Pros:

Really nice app.

Cons:

Nothing major, maybe some UI changes, but all in all a well made app.
