I'm excited about this launch for several reasons: - Despite my security background (spent 11 years at Amazon in Payments), in 2020, I experienced victimization of identity theft when I gave out SSN to a customer support agent. After all the agony I went through by calling financial institutions, requesting them to block future fraudulent access & convincing them to build security controls that did not exist, there was no good way to prevent others from becoming victims. This can happen to anyone. 😞 So, we want to prevent a whole class of Identity Theft - Our Strac team worked extremely hard to make redaction experience seamless making it secure and convenient for Zendesk users. Here is how Strac Zendesk redaction works: - 🚀 Onboard with Strac in 5 min. - 💳 When your customer support agent receives a ticket, Strac will detect if there is any sensitive personal data like ssn, credit card, drivers license, bank account, tax forms, etc. in zendesk comments and attachments - 🗑 If Strac detects a comment or attachment is sensitive, it will remove the sensitive attachment or content from ticket & replace it with a secure link to Strac’s Vault. - ⏰ The secure links automatically expire a configured number of days. Until then, the authorized user (2FA login) will be able to view the data without any disruption to their workflow! Strac is backed by Y Combinator and FUSE.
