I've been a subscriber for years now and can honestly say this has educated me like no other source. If you want an edge in conversation, or just need to develop your own opinions on the tech world, this is for you.

Pros:

It's deep, it's amoral, it's supremely insightful.

Cons:

None!

Stratechery is fastidious about topic curation, and the commentary is on point. It’s in my ”always read/listen” stack. Redesign is icing on the cake!

I've subscribed to the Daily Update for over a year now, and would recommend it to anyone who works in the technology industry.

Pros:

The smartest, most condensed tech analysis out there.

Cons:

Requires fairly solid foundation in strategy/economics, but this can be learned.

Aleksandra
Amazing update, especially the new structure and categories (concepts, topics, companies) make so much easier to find the older content.

Ben stands out in his analysis of Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, Google (FANG) and describing the business models and strategies these businesses follow.

The free articles are amazing, the daily articles are fantastic value. His new site has a much better structure for describing the vast range of subjects within the tech world he covers.

Bonus: Check out Exponent.fm, the companion podcast hosted by @benthompson & @jamesallworth. Among a wide range of fascinating subjects they explore, they've been way out in front (by years) of the issues and challenges Facebook have created and now face, and how this will impact on the wider tech and startup industries.

Pros:

Spot on accessible deep dive analysis of the biggest issues in Tech

Cons:

None

Stratechery is one of the very few subscription services I am happy to spend money on. Ben does analysis that easily rivals Gartner et al. by taking a holistic view of how companies work in our digital age. He covers a wide variety of topics that relate to technology, our society and everything in between. His podcast, Exponent.fm, is also an excellent listen.
