Great idea @alexxfoxxuk, but I feel that until a format for creating and sharing rearrangeable tracks is made public the app could not really be true to its "reinventing music creation/fruition" goal, and would be destined to remain squarely in the "sweet demo" field.
@cbrandolino you're totally right.. watch this space. We've got an update coming in a couple of weeks which will be the first step in making this a reality.
@alexxfoxxuk I'm very impressed. Keep up the good work and please, if there's some form of sdk or DSL for creating NOIZes I'd be glad to know about it: I work with lots of sound artists here in Berlin and I think they'll very much love to explore this new medium.
@cbrandolino thanks! Yeah we're gonna roll out a builder at some point. We're gonna be at Music Tech Fest in Berlin at the end of this month if you're around for a meet up? DM me!
Great work on this! I just now sat down to play with it and it's easily one the most fun apps I've used in a long time, which is wild. So easy to get started and make something sound cool. Great selection of starter tracks, too. Can't wait to see what you'll do next.
Hey!
Alex here from Studio Amplify! A few years ago me and my brother set out to reimagine how music is created and help more people experience the joy of making music.
We wanted to re-define what a song was, moving away from a more traditional static compositions, creating a new form of music that can be re-interpreted on every play. A new visual instrument which would allow an entire piece of music to be performed all in one interface.
Also, it was important that it was accessible. A lot of people are put off music making software because it look intimidating and so it was important that NOIZ looked and felt amazing to play. We want to help inspire a new generation of musicians – whether they can play an instrument or not.
This initial release is just the beginning of what we are planning. Over the next few months we will be adding more content and editing features moving towards a full track builder later down the line.
Looking forward to hearing what you guys think!
Alex
