I'm thrilled to be part of this launch! I try to really focus on my health in January every year, and that usually includes some sort of reset to alcohol. Last year I started a couple days into January and did 30 days dry. The year before I did about two weeks dry, then decided to enjoy some drinks more mindfully. After talking to customers at Sunnyside and dong some research, we realized that most people who want to do some sort of reset with alcohol in January might get down on themselves if they over commit. That's exactly why we're launching this new feature and I hope we get many, many people to join and start building healthier drinking habits into the new year!

Ian Andersen
Thanks @millanda. And the great thing about optimizing drinking habits is that it has an impact on nearly all other areas of health, and other resolutions that you're making :)

This is great - an approach to living a more balanced lifestyle, and feeling good about yourself, that's tailored to your needs. Sometimes the all or nothing approach can lead to a quick failure and be demotivating. I think this is a great alternative strategy that can be helpful for plenty of folks. Way to go, Sunnyside!
Ian Andersen
Thanks @jbear36! That's exactly right that the all or nothing approach can lead to failure. And in fact, most people who challenge themselves to be dry in January end up failing part way through. With Dry(ish) January, people who sign up can choose the path that works best for them, whether it's cutting consumption in half, only drinking on the weekends, or choosing their own plan.

@jbear36 Thanks so much for the support!

The holiday's always leads to an overconsumption and a need to go back to something healthier. This looks like could help achieve a better balance. Really interesting product.
Ian Andersen
@cristian_oana1 That's exactly right. Many people tend to overdo it a bit during the holidays, leading to a need and desire to reset in the new year. Of course we don't judge anyone, but we're excited to be there to offer tools and motivation to kick the year off with a healthy start.
Nadya Khoja
@cristian_oana1 Appreciate the thoughts! Starting the year off with a more mindful and balanced way of setting goals can make it easier to maintain results for the whole year
