Hello everyone! We're thrilled to announce the launch of Superthread 0.1 (early alpha).
1. Superthread is a task tracker with integrated roadmaps, issues, and docs.
2. We aim to make it easy for devs & non-devs to work together and eliminate silos inside companies.
3. Whether you’re a founder, a lead, or an individual contributor, you can easily follow your work!
4. Superthread has lightning-fast response times whether you’ve got ten or ten million tasks in your workspace.
We understand that achieving our vision will be challenging, but we firmly believe it's a goal worth pursuing.
We eagerly await your feedback + we're here to address any questions you may have.
Design at Superthread is a bit of a dream: an information-dense interface that people will rely on every day. When you design this type of app you know that it's important to get every detail right, because anything annoying, or broken, or slow, or unclear will be seen and used tens or hundreds of times a day by each person. So I'm glad that we like to focus on the quality of the overall experience.
This is also a case where we use our produce to build our product. It's amazing how much you can notice and improve if you use your own product daily.
Superthread looks great — it seems to have a great balance between what teams might use Linear and Notion for. Excited to see Superthread develop! Long gone are the days of struggling with Jira — it's exciting to see so much innovation in the project management space!
@jamesjgill thanks so much for checking us out 🙌 At Superthread we hate context switching, we hate waiting for things to load, and we hate searching across different tools to find stuff. If you've ever used Google Docs with Trello, Jira with Confluence, Asana with Notion, or any other combination – you'll know what we mean. We just want to do the basics, really well, and ensure teams can actually work together.
@jamesjgill It's been an excellent challenge to work through on the design side: how do we balance great tasks with great documents, and make sure the whole app doesn't feel overwhelming?
@jamesjgill What I really like about Superthread is that it's fairly process agnostic. Linear is highly opinionated which is really great if you agree with their opinions. Shortcut that we used to use is sort of opinionated but can really decide which opinions it really believes in. Jira is obviously flexible but slow and requires 12 clicks to get anything done. Superthread has let us put the whole company in one place and each team can use it differently and it's flexible enough to work for everyone. Having the whole company in one place makes it easy to manage cross team projects as well.
@jamesjgill I share your sentiment that this product seems to be a combination of Notion and Linear: I like the concept of making documents and tasks centralized as well.
Congrats on the launch guys! 🎖️
Interesting how you chose speed as the metric to optimise to create a better project management tool. Looks promising.
From your research what pain points do current project management tools like Notion and Coda have from a speed and execution stand point?
Was a bit sceptical at first since it seems like Notion, but being focused on Project Management that's an interesting angle! Congrats for the launch ✌️
Superthread is a super-fast, builder-friendly tool backed by a responsive team keen to incorporate feedback and build alongside users.
Can't wait to continue using as the product evolves!
Congrats on the launch! Superthread looks great.
Exciting to see the tighter integration between docs and tasks. No existing tool (Notion, ClickUp etc) does this well.
@jeylani_jeylani Hey Jeylani, thank you! Now that we have re-developed our editor from scratch, things are going to be moving forward super quickly on that front.
@sentry_co Superthread's key offering is that it has both Tasks and Docs which are tightly integrated. It is also made to be usable by not only developers but by other functions too such as e.g. marketing, sales, HR etc. Our aim is to align the whole company in one place.
@sentry_co We've been in quite a few situations where we've designed and built a feature or screen and had to think about how we should present it so that everyone can use it, no matter their technical background. I'd say that's an important difference, aside from the things that Linear doesn't focus on (e.g. docs).
@neil_cameron3 Thank you, Neil, We are still early but the mentioning of anything (Tasks/Docs/Boards/Spaces/Members etc.) from anywhere works quite well at this stage.
@neil_cameron3 It's exciting to think about ways we can make task and docs work together. I think a lot of tools either focus on one thing, or everything. But focusing on the relationship between two things opens up some interesting doors.
It's fantastic to see how Superthread brings together task tracking, roadmaps, issues, and docs all in one place, Really Amazing it will defiantly improve productivity.
Congrats on the launch! This looks great. I've been hopping between four different products for months looking for the right combination of tasks and pages and this looks like it's finally the one
We've been lucky to have early access, trying out, seeing the impact and then going on to harness the ease of use and efficiency of Superthread to manage roll-outs of our own solution to clients. We've been impressed with the speed and agility. It serves as an indispensable tool for our project workflows, facilitating effortless collaboration and comprehensive rollout management. Preferred to Monday.com when working with some of our institutions as it's an all-inclusive tool for partner interaction. An example stand-out has been the ability to simplify communication and bolster productivity for both sides, adding value and reducing risk to our projects. Can see it becoming a vital asset so we're excited to see it develop even further!
@potentiallytrev Lovely, thank you. And we're just as excited to see it develop even further from inside Superthread. Obviously we use it every day to manage our own work.
Congratulations on the launch of Superthread 0.1! 🚀🎉 Your project management tool looks promising, especially with the integrated tasks and docs feature.
