TabSpace is a beautiful new tab replacement that gives you your very own scratch space to help you stay organised and focused. Text is saved as you write. Highlights due dates and tasks automatically. Your notes and tasks never leave your computer.
@kevin_noh Hey Kevin, thanks! Your notes work offline, everything is local. Unfortunately that means no syncing to mobile, but you can use this on mobile through the browser: https://tabspace.jzhao.xyz/index...
I do plan to add the ability to share/sync sections of blocks between users at some point though :)
@jackyzha0 cool- just moved my daily notes / tasks lists and liking it so far, particularly the due date feature. A nit- noticing there's not a satisfying way to mark items as completed.
Rewiring cmd+t to open up my tasks list is a fun and productive change. Thanks!!
Hey ProductHunt!
The new tab page hasn't changed in many years. Most use it to look at a new picture of nature or redirect to some other webpage.
But what if you used it like a staging area or scratch space instead?
My thesis is that having a scratch space that is incredibly low friction to access (on par with or better than Apple Notes) is incredibly important to actually writing stuff down and keeping on top of things.
I've always found Notion and Obsidian too slow/inconvenient to boot up every time I want to write something down and it is so much easier to open a new tab and jot something down for a later time so I don't lose my flow state.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Really excited to see someone playing in the liminal space between tabs and notes and drafts! I've been looking for this kind of functionality for a long time, and I'm thrilled to use it!
@caseorganic Thank you so much for all the kind words, Amber! Would love to hear how your usage of it evolves :) Planning on adding plugin support at some point so people can handcraft their own blocks of functionality too
This is awesome, good job on everything! I want to do blockquotes and strikethroughs but I have Windows over Mac and do not know what the arrow translate over to. This is a really useful extension that is simplistic but does so much!
