This is the product of Ksenia and co's hard work for years now! Keen to put it to action soon. In fact, just earlier I was scratching my head trying to figure out what the action points were on a Hangouts meeting I had with a customer. I didn't take notes during the meeting oops!
@ksenia_svechnikova this is a great idea. I seem to have problems with the app though and have logged in with a password and directly with my Google account when in a meet and have the captions running - it gives me a message saying that I am not logged in and therefore while I can see the captions being noted in Tactiq and can pin them I can not download them?
Hi @krishnade, thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you've experienced this issue.
We've seen one known issue with the login. Could you please check if you have been signed in inside Chrome Browser itself with the google account: https://tactiq.zendesk.com/hc/en...
Thanks, let me know if that works or we can jump on a quick call.
@ksenia_svechnikova Thanks - I could not see how to log in inside Chrome when I clicked it so deleted the extension and then looked to login when in a Meet which worked. Great to see the various options for the export of the transcript too.
Product looks super sleek, love how it saves to my own Google doc - no need to login into another app just to view my notes. Will be trying it out in my next meeting :)
Appreciate it Shahrzad. Let me know if you'd want some particular feature to make it even better. Just want to let you know that auto-save is coming soon 💾
G'Day Product Hunt community👋,
Thanks for the hunt, @justin_rockmore 😊
We’ve built this extension to help you stay focused during meetings by reducing the time spent on note taking. We all started to have substantially more video calls and having all conversations saved in the text format provides you with the backup.
While the product was focusing on product meetings, among existing 10000+ users there are a lot of teachers and educators who need to track and refer back to the discussions that now take place online.
The mission is to make powerful meeting notes while minimising the time you spend on writing them.
Look forward to hearing what you think. Thanks for the support! 🙌
Hi @ksenia_svechnikova, this product seems awesome. Can't wait to use it myself. I'm curious, where can I find more technical information about the technologies used to develop this product? I'm trying to learn more about development and want to learn about which technologies I should focus my attention to. It would be awesome if Product hunt offered a tab or section that linked to a github link or somewhere where we could learn about the stack of each product.
I LOVE how smooth the product is, Its such a smart take by leveraging on their existing tech.
Really good work, I've used it for a few meetings and can highly recommend it
Especially client calls, where there's a 1000 words said
🎉Are you ready to change the way you use Google Meet? With the ability to record live captions in Google Meet, you'll never miss a word - and given COVID there's no better time!
.
🔥I first discovered Tactiq a few months ago while on the tail-end of working at a remote-only company and I loved what I was able to do with the product!
.
💬You can finally shift back to focusing on your meetings and the topics at hand without being distracted by having to take note of everything being said - it's as easy as turning on captions during your meeting and you're ready to go!
.
❗If you're looking to streamline your meetings - this is a must-add from the Chrome Store
I guess you use google api for speech recognition but I just want to confirm the accuracy % and the languages supported > otherwise It would be absolutely usefull . upvoted
Hi @ozhanatali, that's a great question.
The extension actually doesn't use any api, it's saving the transcript provided by Google Meet. For this reason your transcription never hits Tactiq servers. The accuracy of Google Meet is best in class. There could be some issues if the connection is not perfect, but in general it gives a great result.
Google Meet currently provides live captioning only in english, hope they extend it soon. What language were you looking for?
