Tagbox helps creative teams organize their visual assets. We use cool AI to create a "Google Photos for Business", so that teams can collaborate better, save time, and focus on creating value, not going through folders to find that image from 3 months ago.

Hi all! The world is changing 🌎 today, more than ever... Just kidding. Not going to throw a bunch of Clichés at you. Let's cut to the chase: Tagbox.io is all about keeping your business' creative assets organized. Here's the deal: all of your personal images are organized in Google or Apple Photo app - with awesome search, face recognition, and more. When you're looking for stock images, you can go to Shutterstock or Getty Images, and instantly find the right asset using search and awesome filters. But your business media? Those highly valuable, very expensive images and videos? Well, that's still likely stored in some Google Drive / Dropbox, hidden away behind a wall of never-ending folders. To us, that's insane. That's why we created Tagbox.io - the Google Photos for your business. What does that actually mean? 🏷️ Smart auto-tagging that learns your tagging preferences. 😉 Face recognition to help you find specific people in images 📜 Text detection in images and video 🔎 Awesome search 🚀 Shareable collections 🖼️ Public Galleries You might be asking yourself - why not just use Google Photos, then? 🧑‍💼 Business-specific filters: if you have an image of a woman standing next to a car, it makes a world of difference whether you're selling clothes or cars. ℹ️ Custom metadata: so much of how we look for photos isn't actually IN the image - the project name, brand, customer, photographer, location... All of these can easily be added with Tagbox.io. 📝 More formats: we handle images and video, of course, but you can also organize editable formats like Photoshop or Illustrator, upload slides and PDFs, and even save links from external sources, e.g. YouTube videos. I can go on and on, and I will in the comments below :) This is our first-ever launch, and we're really excited about hearing you out and learning from this awesome community. So what do you think? How do you organize your team's assets? What's the most important thing for you in staying organized? Thanks, Guy, Oz, and the rest of the Tagabox.io team 😊

Been following tag box for a while! Amazing to see the progress and the new launch! Exciting 🔥🔥🔥 Can't wait to try it out and make some sense of the mess of my files & docs.
Guy Barner
@dan_konstantinovsky that's so great to hear! Thanks and let us know what you think after you try it out

Nice! I’ve seen other digital asset solutions like Brandfolder and Bynder - they also have stuff like auto-tagging. Can you explain how you're different? Good luck, the product looks great 💪
Guy Barner
@kevinjhanna Yeah, those are established companies with great products, but they fit a more Enterprise-type customer: A. There’s no self-serve option - only salespeople you can schedule a demo with. Pricing also matches the Sales model - from what we’ve seen, in most cases they cost 5-10 times as much as Tagbox. B. Like many enterprise products, they have customizations that come at the cost of simplicity. We work hard to make the product super-simple, and most of our customers sign up and start using it without any help from us. C. Migration is a nightmare. Transferring your existing content (usually many thousands, sometimes millions of files) and organizing them can literally take months with existing solutions. We made things simple - we handle the migration for you, so you can be up and running within a week of signing up. D. Most important - our tech is simply better. Yes, they have auto-tagging and search and what not. But there’s a reason there is no self-serve option - it just doesn’t work as well as Tagbox. We have a bunch of comparison videos on our YouTube channel. Oh, we’re also the only ones I know of that have face recognition, which is really important for most companies.

Can't I just use Google Photos for my business? What’s the difference between Tagbox and Google Photos? Congrats on the launch, and good luck! 🙌
Guy Barner
@eilatyoel Thanks Yoel, Great question! We actually get asked that a lot. Google Photos is a wonderful product, but there are many reasons it’s not great for business use: 1. There is a lot of metadata that is often more important than what’s in the image. For example, you need to be able to find photos by client, by product, by brand, by project, who is in the picture, where it was taken... lots of things that Photos can't know because they aren't actually in the picture. 2. Accuracy: AI by definition identifies things with some success. In personal use that’s more than enough - if I want pictures of me at the beach, finding 80% of them is awesome. In a professional context, the percentages drop significantly because AI is better at identifying generic items more than very specific things (a furniture company, for example, needs to differentiate between a living room table and a kitchen table), and you also want to know that when you're looking for a table - it will show you all the tables. 3. Permission management in Photos is not good enough. You want to be able to share some of your photos with certain people according to permissions. It can be partially done with albums, but it doesn't really hold in the context of a company. There are many other reasons - file types that are not supported in Photos (e.g. editable files), managing copyrights, searching within an album which is something basic that’s actually impossible in Photos)... but the truth is that I have yet to see a company with more than 5 people that manages its media in Google Photos - the go-to is usually drive, or apps like Notion/Airtable. We wrote a blog post about this with more details if you're interested: https://www.tagbox.io/blog/tagbo...

@eilatyoel @guy_barner amazing question and an even better answer 😊
Omri Shabi
Amazing! This is so useful. How can I get access to the API?
Usama Ejaz
Congrats on the launch of Tagbox.io! Let's make creativity easier!
Oz Meir
@usamaejaz let's do it together
Yam Regev
I'm just here to say that I'm soooo thrilled to be part of the teams who work on tagbox.io. The product is changing how marketing and creative teams save, search and find their creative assets. No more poking your teammates with questions like "do you know where the image from our last campaign was saved?", for instance :) Increased productivity FTW :) I'm here to answer any questions
Guy Barner
@yam_regev beers all around! 🍻
Oz Meir
@yam_regev where do I get these beers?
Ehud b
Well done & good luck! Looks promising
Alon Rapaport
Yeeeessss! Looks simple and intuitive. Good luck! Kinda wondering though, what types of businesses actually need such a tool?
Guy Barner
@alon_rapaport thanks, appreciate it. Our target audience is usually marketing teams in B2C companies and retail, as well as creative agencies. But we also see many academic institutes, non-profits, sports organizations and others getting a lot of value out of having a well-organized media library.
Alon Rapaport
@guy_barner Got it. Interesting, especially if your API will enable to seamlessly integrate it into existing tools and processes without the need to switch context. Best of luck!
Carmel Gilan
Looks super cool! could totally use it for sorting out pics after shooting days and sharing it with all the different agencies :)
Guy Barner
@carmel_gilan that's exactly it. Most companies we talk to work with 4-5 agencies that need to share their assets. Thanks for bringing this up.
Oz Meir
@carmel_gilan amazing feedback!
Yariv Dror
Looks great! Good luck!
Ritik Singh Panwar
This is amazing. Organizing media assets is a huge challenge for companies. Godspeed team!
Oz Meir
@ritik_singh_panwar Thanks Ritik That's true, we help companies tackle this challenge and more!
Guy Barner
@ritik_singh_panwar thanks! It definitely is. We keep hearing horror stories from people spending hours and hours going through folders to find some pictures from a photoshoot they did a couple of months ago.
Peta
Sounds a nice ideea
Gil Eyal
Very cool!
Charles Even
Wow, such a great initiative, congrats on the launch! I actually remember negative experiences of getting lost inside the designers’ folders which is usually making me waste tons of time and also, in some cases, it feels like sifting through too much messy content on my way to the desired image confuses me and throws me out of the creative process .
Oz Meir
@charles_even exactly what we heard from our clients
Grant Lee
Product looks great, congrats on the launch! I've definitely run into this problem in the past and am excited to check this out.
Oz Meir
@gslee thanks Grant We will surely appreciated your experienced feedback 😉
Ron Fybish
I love it 😻
Oz Meir
@ron_fybish1 😻😻😻
Yuval Machlin
Amazing! Interesting to see what you'll publish for the video assets.
Guy Barner
@yuval_machlin thanks Yuval. We've been working a lot on video lately - it's fully supported in the platform, and we've recently added auto-transcription and full text search for video. We're planning on adding auto-tagging, live subtitles and more in the near future.
Roy Povarchik
Looks promising! Can the AI sort the assets within a folder by pre-defined preferences?
Guy Barner
@roypovar hi Roy, yes, that's exactly it. You can define the tags that are important for you. Here's a short video on how that works in Tagbox: https://youtu.be/w1C5DS_WPEI Thanks for the support!
