Hello Product Hunt π!
It has been a whole year since Tailscan for Tailwind CSS has launched and a lot has happened since then. I'm proud to announce that after 17 updates in the last year, it's time to introduce to you Tailscan 2.
It includes lots of exciting stuff, read on π
What is Tailscan?
Tailscan is a browser extension tool that allows you to scan and change any website using Tailwind CSS, right within the browser. In the last year, more than one thousand users have downloaded Tailscan and improved their workflow.
The most common requests of the past year have been:
β How can I work with Tailscan, if I don't know or remember Tailwind classes?
β How can I convert my existing codebase to use Tailwind?
Tailscan 2 answers these questions with lots of brand new functionality to make working with Tailwind CSS an absolute breeze.
β New interface, no coding required
Adding, editing and deleting classes with Tailscan has been the main focus of the product. But what if you don't know or remember a Tailwind class? With the new non-tech interface, you don't have to. All the Tailwind classes are now categorized, easy-to-understand and accessible.
β Convert any element into a Tailwind component
Gone are the days of the slow and painful process of switching between your css files and html, figuring out what classes are the Tailwind equivalent and writing all the classes manually.
With one click, Tailscan converts any element on any website to a Tailwind component.
Tailscan 2 also includes features such as the guideline overlay, quick screenshot tool and many improvements for usability and performance.
To celebrate the launch of Tailscan 2, there are a limited number of discounted lifetime licenses available. Grab the deal before it's too late!
I'd love to hear your questions, feedback and comments. Thank you very much π
Have a great day!
Erwin
Congratulations on the launch of Tailscan 2! It's clear that you've been working hard to improve the user experience for those working with Tailwind CSS. π The new non-tech interface and the ability to convert any element into a Tailwind component with one click are fantastic additions. π
As for a question, do you have any plans to further expand Tailscan's capabilities in the future, perhaps into other CSS frameworks or tools? π€
I have been using Tailscan literally since day 1 and been the happiest customer ever since. I work with Tailwind CSS every single day and without Tailscan I'd likely be 5 years behind in my development work.
I have recently started using the Tailscan extension and it is really great. Super simple to use and the copy element feature is super useful. You can learn how others are implementing their components and get inspired much easier.
I love Tailscan. It has become an indispensable tool in every development project I've worked on in the past year. Congrats Erwin for creating such a game-changing tool! Excited to see more of Tailscan in the future. π
Thanks man, i love Tailscan, i use a lot the conversion feature to convert my old website or just get element i like from other website!
thanks a lot for this super tool !
A lot of the issues I run into when styling/designing my websites is the html structure. For example, I ran into a crazy scenario where the tailwindcss was doing math to solve which child div should have a border and which shouldn't for these pricing cards I was using.
Can this chrome extension handle the unique html design when copying and pasting from random websites?
