Firstly a huge thank you to our alum @pollock for hunting us! We’re so excited to share what we’ve built with the Product Hunt community - because it speaks directly to our goal of building the world’s largest community of people working in climate. My climate journey began five years ago. I had taken my daughter snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef. She had the time of her life! But my son was too young to go in the water, and later that year, the first mass bleaching and coral die-offs happened. I realized with a shock that I’d taken for granted that the world would be a better place for my kids. The reality was that I needed to actively work to make that happen… That was when I started diving deep into conversations with smart people working in climate (including my co-founder @kamal_kapadia). I learned two things. One, there were many people like me desperate to start working in climate, but would encounter many challenges. Second, we needed to help tens of millions of people across the world make this transition. So we launched Terra.do, a global platform for learning & working in climate. Our mission? Get 100 million people working on climate solutions this decade. Two years later, we’re on our way! We’ve graduated thousands of fellows from our learning programs from over 25+ countries, and over 50% of them from the developing world. Meanwhile, we’ve seen demand skyrocketing from companies hiring for climate jobs across all sectors. So we built the Terra.do app, combining climate careers, learning, and community into a single seamless platform that allows anyone to upskill themselves, build their climate career, and join a supportive global community working on solutions. We’re just getting started and would love to have you join us on the Terra.do platform. To paraphrase, humanity’s biggest crisis is also our biggest opportunity to build a better world. I've always vehemently recommended Terra.do to people that ask me and to those who are interested in transitioning to a career in climate. To be honest, with 5 years under my belt as a co-founder in the rooftop solar industry in India, I didn't really expect to be exposed to all that much when I signed up for their flagship course Learning for Action back in the summer of 2021. But boy was I seriously mistaken! The course is designed for those who want to do it part time - but the wealth of resources, additional knowledge and experts at hand mean that you could do it full time and still barely scratch the surface of what is potentially on offer. It truly has something for everyone and covers a host of different disciplines and industries. To my mind, the most powerful tool is the network that one is inducted into and that is what I relish even over a year after graduating from the course. The time to act on climate is NOW and Terra.do is the perfect springboard to catapult yourself into a space that desperately needs all of us to pull our weight and come together to secure a future for our children and grandchildren.

Congrats Terra.do for your Product Hunt launch. You are doing a terrific job with your mission of building a climate change focused professional community. This is an inspiring goal - climate change is the biggest challenge the world faces and we need to pull out all the stops in combating this existential crisis. Absolutely amazing community of folks who are driven to solve for climate change. I went through the Learning for Action course and cannot be more happy for taking that decision. Kudos to the amazing team @anshuman_bapna @kamal_kapadia1 It is definitely going to take a planet, and entire planet has to be on Terra to know what to do <3

I've only just started the Learning for Action course with Terra.do but so far I'm finding the material to be well organized and easy to consume, the instructors approachable and knowledgeable and my co-fellows diverse and fascinating. For someone just starting the transition into climate work, this is a wonderful resource! I'm so happy that there are people out there with such ambitious goals related to the climate. Makes me more hopeful that we can curb the damage we are doing to our planet.

I started out with Terra.do as a fellow In the Orcas cohort (which was an amazing experience!) and went on to invest in their seed round to have now joined the team. This was because mission to get 100 million people working in climate truly resonates with me. It has also been because of the incredible team. The team is extremely passionate and mission oriented with a strong bias for action. For learning, Terra has taken the very complex problem of climate and put out the best modular and actionable content. The coursework and lab sessions make it easy for you to grasp the problem and the solutions. For jobs, it’s the best place for companies because of the job fairs and the highly qualified community of job seekers. For anyone wanting to work towards climate action, Terra is the place to be!

I think Terra and us were meant to be. Speaking with Anshuman once , twice, thrice and then numerous times got the problem and the opportunity both into sharp focus. We had to be a part of this and join the mission of the company and the founders to impact climate tech space massively. The community that Terra is building will be the largest on the planet for driven change makers in Climate. Super excited to be a part of it and learning with so many seeking minds.

I deeply believe that the way to solve complex problems - is to have highly motivated & capable talent be focused on the problem. Climate change is probably amongst the top 3 most complex & impactful problems of our times. And it is so new to all of humanity ... that if we were to wait for capabilities to be built & universities to change their curriculums, etc ... it would be too late for humanity. Terra's approach to rapidly accelerating: bringing & enabling talent to the climate change front - I think will be pivotal. The feedback from the cohorts that they have already worked with - reflects very high customer focus & a missionary zeal.

From being part of the very first cohort to joining the team and contributing to many more, the one thing that keeps inspiring me is the calibre and dedication of people showing up to work in climate. There has been some positive climate news recently but there is a LOT more to do and I am excited to keep building towards our missing of getting 100 million people working on climate solutions this decade.

Terra.do's an incredibly powerful platform and community - not just for people new to the climate space, but also for seasoned professionals looking to build and find talent to work with! Terra helped me learn a ton about climate risk and sustainability and explore nascent areas like Blue Carbon. Would highly recommend.

I admire the whole Terra team's outlook for not only being the DOER in solving climate change but also to embark on the mission to create thousands if not millions of DOERS across the globe. It takes far more effort to DO than to just speak. Have been a fan from Day 1 of the mission and thought process.
