I LOVE this idea! It’s not just audio courses (great in itself) but also the ability to crowdfund your course and start selling before it’s finished. Honestly sounds like a well-thought out and useful platform for creators and learners alike. If the in-platform course discovery is robust enough, it’d be pretty much perfect.

@jason_cooper3 maybe you could even take it over step ahead by letting learners suggest and vote on course ideas. Then course creators can take it upon themselves to fulfill the learners’ wishes and create the courses they want.

@charlotte_zhao Audio sounds intriguing, but do you also have an option to show slides or diagrams in case something is a bit more technical?
@thijl_klerkx2 Hi Thijl! Yes, we are audio-first, not audio-only. So if you need to add supplementary materials, you can! And learners love the asynchronous approach. It becomes a bit of a fun puzzle - what a learner might have visualized at first vs what's on the diagram created by the teacher :) The wait before seeing allows more introspection and imagination.

Your audience is large with “education” but niche and die hard with neurodivergent learners. This has solid legs to stand on. Congrats on the launch!

Do you have some examples of courses / topics that work well in audio vs others that would be better as video?
@thomas_mckinlay1 Hi Thomas, great question! There are course ideas that intuitively with audio first - important to highlight it's audio-first, not audio-only. But from our experience, you can even teach photography through audio-first approach! It's more about making sure the learners engage with their imagination :)

@franz_schrepf Thanks Franz, great question! You can ask similarly how are video courses different to Youtube videos :). The depth of content and curation is the real differentiator. And also a dedicated learning and engagement space amongst the learners and creators.

Our Course Manager and "AVID Coach" will lead you through a step-by-step guided process to creating your course, where you will shape your course concept, generate a teaser, create a course structure, and more. The Manager will guide you through every step of the way, it's like having a personal coach.
With an exquisite solution and excitement, I created my profile immediately. I congratulate you. However, is there an alternative to payment methods other than stripe? (I live in Turkey and unfortunately, Stripe and PayPal are not used here)

This looks great! Do you already have some courses on math/cryptography? Have always been curious if that can be taught via audio. I'm also missing a "search" functionality for courses so I can search on tags and keywords.

I've always believed we can do more when sharing knowledge, this is a great way to reach those who do not enjoy video learning.
Agreed @manji_cheto , I support education in emergency programmes and this can definitely assist NGOs deliver more quality education opportunities for children and adults desplaced by natural and man made disasters… we are seeing that mobiles, and internet is the first means of communication vulnerable people request…
@francesca_paola we should talk more! Audio-first learning removes the barriers one can face with video and it can be accessed anywhere. It can be a revolutionary tool to reach children and adults living in adverse circumstances.

This might have been asked before... but is there a community element around the platform? I always find it easier to stay motivated if i know other learners.

When you are always on the go, rushing everywhere..this could be a good solution to learning on the go.
