Excited to try this. Does anyone know if it's downloadable? (I want to go through it when I have little/no internet over the next couple weeks. Need to be able to have it local.)
@nicholjs? @eliotarntz?
@eliotarntz Thanks for the quick reply! Do you think I'd be able to save the videos locally one by one to get most of it, or will it not be feasible? (I only have until Friday morning... been caching Swift resources for the past two hours.)
Just got myself on this course. After spending a few days following other video tutorials, I can immediately tell the variety of apps taught will increase knowledge level with iOS.nnGreat offer!
Like the 6,000 other pre-orders.. been waiting for this one for a while :)
The complete iOS7 course was one of the most upvoted posts in Product Hunt history (http://www.producthunt.com/posts...) - and personally, I think this course is even better executed.
Like the last one, this course has over 300 videos to walk you step by step through building 14 different iOS8 applications. Let's try and get @nicholjs and @EliotArntz to answer any questions you might have.
how much coding knowledge does someone need to start this course? can they start from scratch or does it help to have a solid base?
Beyond just the Swift additions, how is this course different than the iOS7 course?
@benhoffman_ the course caters to absolute beginners. Of course past programming experience will get you a leg up, but we made the course assuming no prior knowledge.
Beyond Swift (a huge difference), we teach the new SDK, different apps, different and updated frameworks, and more.
This is great. I've been struggling over the last couple of weeks with getting started building a little app for myself that may or may not be interesting to others. For an investment of less than $100 I'm pretty sure I'll be well on my way to making it reality.
@jskuros I have not take the iOS 8 course on Udemy. However, I do know that they started this class after we left the Udemy platform. I would assume they took a look at our template but I can't be sure.

@jaiganticness you steal time away from anything you can! I remember coding before my old 9-5 5am alone in the office with a full day of accounting in front of me :)
@eliotarntz Cheers, I'll give it a go! I've got a new baby to look after at the moment, so she takes most of my spare time, but I'll aim to make building my own iOS apps my next baby ;)
John from bitfountain (co-creator of The Complete iOS 8 Course with Swift). Glad to be on Product Hunt and happy to answer any questions! The first 70% of the course is live now, with the rest being added weekly over the next 4 weeks. Hope you all enjoy the special deal today.
By the way, the iOS 7 Course is still free for Product Hunt users: http://bitfountain.io/course/the...
@eliotarntz Hey Eliot! Thanks for creating this! Just got around to this.. figure it doesn't hurt to ask as I'm a bit late to the game but would I be able to get access at the product hunt price still?
