Hey PH'ers - happy to have our little app hunted. Happy to answer any questions!
Dan Brooks
@dskaletsky I was looking for a similar solution. How do you prevent too-many-notifications situations? Are there any filters or funnels in place to only receive meaningful alerts
Derek Skaletsky
@ramtorn hey Dan - great question. Yes - the beauty of Relay is that it gives you a management layer to manage the flow of events to Slack. You can select only the events you want to push to slack; you can post events to multiple channels (because different teams need to know about different events) AND you can select the frequency for when you get these alerts in Slack (you can choose real-time, hourly updates or even daily updates). Does that help?
Derek Skaletsky
@ramtorn Also...the next feature we'll have is the ability to filter events based on property rules (ie - only show a "Purchase" event that is >$100, etc)
Derek Skaletsky
Quick update...thanks to some early feedback, we have added a direct API for Relay as well as a Stripe integration. We're pretty excited about the ability to add filtered Stipe information into Slack streams. Thanks again for all the early feedback. Keep it coming!
Audrey Melnik
Been using this for a few days now - it's pretty cool!
Derek Skaletsky
@audreymelnik Thanks, Audrey!
Marco Petkovski
This is fantastic. Was thinking of building this the other day, happy to see someone has already done it! Signed up and am now a paying customer. Way to go!
Dane Lyons
@marcopetkovski Thanks Marco! Glad to have you on board.

We've been doing this without Relay and it's amazing how much the visibility helps motivate our team. If we didn't already have the custom infrastructure for this built out, I'd use Relay in a second. Pricing seems pretty good for the most part as well. Though, these type of services really do add up so choose wisely.
Derek Skaletsky
@codypeterson Hi Cody - Sorry we didn't find you before you built out a customer integration, but really great to hear validation on how access to this information is helping motivate the team. We think the transparency is really going to help make building "customer-centric" teams much easier. Thanks for the comment!

We've started by connecting event data from Segment. We'll add more sources soon. In the mean time, I wrote a getting started tutorial if you don't use Segment and you're built on Rails. https://medium.com/@duilen/rails...

Great idea! I developed my own slack bot a while back to notify of newly registered users. I thought about building something on top of that but you guys beat me to it, and seem to have done a bloody good job too!
Wilson J Pan
This is awesome! Keep up the good work guys!
Derek Skaletsky
@wilsonpeng8 Thanks, Wilson!
Elia Morling
@dskaletsky looks cool, curious to learn what the next integration will be after Segment?
Derek Skaletsky
@tribaling Hi Elia - Great question. We have a list, but looking for suggestions for priority...what would you like to see?
Dane Lyons
@tribaling @dskaletsky What would you want to see? I think other event services such as Keen.io, GA, KISS, Mixpanel...are all good choices. Anything else in mind?
westhalos
Seems nice, will try when our app is ready to go

This looks cool - nice complement to Smooch (which is great if you want to send an event-triggered message to your users rather than your team).
Derek Skaletsky
@f_j_j_ Thanks, Francis! We have a main product (Knowtify.io) that allows for those event messages to go to your users (via email or in-app).
