Maybe I am expecting more from Microsoft, but this just doesn't seem to be of any new value. Am I missing something?

@mrkampmann Seems to me that it's yet another Apple have one so we should have one. Why not create a decent news app for their own Windows Phone platform? I'm glad they are bringing great tools to iOS and Android but releasing apps for the sake of keeping in with the 'Joneses' or 'Cooks' in this case is just pointless.
The product is not so slick (web) and the Facebook login isn't working right now, so I'm not sure about the content either! Let's see.
Interesting concept. Not sure what they are trying to do... Is this a Apple News or Pocket competitor?
The "speedy" tool is very cool and definitely should be a default!
Aside from some pretty typical customization options, not sure how this becomes "hyper-relevant" for anyone's work.
not sure Microsoft will crack news with this one. but worth paying attention
