Hi Hunters, I'm Mads, founder of the Interaction Design Foundation and I'd love to tell you a little bit about our mission to democratize design education. Inspired by the Scandinavian education system, we work to reduce the cost of learning yet, at the same time, elevate the quality of the online UX design courses and other educational materials we offer. We make this possible through collaborations with noted authors and design leaders like Clayton Christensen and Don Norman, as well as top universities and companies—Stanford, Cambridge and SAP Labs, for example. And because we're a nonprofit, we can bring you these top-quality UX design courses at a fraction of the cost of a traditional education. To celebrate our launch on Product Hunt, I'm pleased to offer you a 25% discount on our annual membership 🎉 You can redeem this exclusive offer for the next 48 hours. Come join us and become part of a global community that is disrupting design education as we know it! I look forward to hearing what you think of our platform! :-)

Courses is something I’ve not seen in any other place, and the platform for consuming the content is straight forward, and pleasant to use. I’ll definitely continue to use them.

Pros:

Having great courses and content is to have so much information about Interaction Design in one place

Cons:

I do not like to see the start date of the course, If I gave priority to another job, I'll see the certificate

Floris van Eck
I agree. I tend to start a few courses and then complete them quickly when I have a time slot free but then the certificate shows I took 3 months. I might not be using the system right, but I do not really see the value of that data piece on the certificate.

I've been looking for the right courses to do to upskill as a UX professional for a while. Of course, there are lots of courses on Youtube with regard to certain tools but what I like about IDF is that it teaches you the concepts and understanding. It is also easy to use and understand. I would like to see more courses focused on using specific tools. I would also like some kind of quiz or benchmarking exercise that could be used to show prospective employers what level of UX practitioner I am at. Also, I would love to see more real-life work examples from other people in courses and exclusive job opportunities.

Pros:

Good quality, well-structured course material to suit any level of UX Designer.

Cons:

It would be nice if the courses were accredited.
