Hello PH Community! We’re so excited to share The New Paper's latest product with you - our daily text message news digest. We created The New Paper for one simple reason: to make fact-first news easy to consume. We got tired of scrolling through clickbait headlines and never-ending feeds, so we set out to fix the problem ourselves. While we initially started with an email newsletter, we quickly realized that text message was an ultra-convenient way to get fact-first news and a completely untapped deliver channel. After six months in private beta, we've already reached over 7,000 paying subscribers, and we couldn't be more excited to share the product with you today. We’d love to get your feedback and hear your stories – have you found yourself looking for better news? How do you get your news today? What can we do better to serve our readers? We can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I’ll be around all day to answer your questions, and the real hero, my co-founder John, will be chiming in later today! MUCH LOVE, Michael

@michael_aft This is amazing! I love the idea of getting a text instead of an email. How does the texting piece work. Is it done through a bot? or actually human lol?

Text comes straight into my inbox at the same time every day, easy way to read the news while I'm still waking up. Would love if they could start sending on the weekends too.

@james_shalhoub Thanks so much for the feedback, and totally hear you on weekend content. While we've generally found that the weekend news cycle skews toward the type of clickbait and sensational headlines that we're trying to avoid, we also hear from readers like yourself that weekend content would be a welcome addition and it's something we're actively exploring. Stay tuned, and thanks again!!

The New Paper is great. I like the format of the daily text message because it allows me to read the news without getting sidetracked by other items in my email inbox. It’s a quick read and always very informative.

@jeffrey_cangialosi Glad to hear that the format is working for you. Our aim is to make it extremely convenient to read in the moment, so you actually read it every day. The text message format is a big part of that.
