Vision is a sales enablement tool powered by The Org’s network of public org charts. Search for relevant people across org charts. Track companies to stay updated on team changes. Build lists with up-to-date contact information!
Hi everyone 👋
We are very excited to share “Vision by The Org” with all of you today! We would love to get feedback from the Product Hunt community especially from current users of ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha, and Cognism. Our goal is to take on these incumbents with a much better (and cheaper) alternative!
Vision is a sales enablement tool that allows users to prospect the world’s biggest network of public org charts. We have 3 main advantages versus our competitors: 1. Our data is structured which makes it much faster to find the relevant person to contact, 2. Our data is partly user generated which provides a higher level of accuracy and ensures real-time updates, and 3. Our go-to-market strategy is entirely organic which means we can offer our product a lot cheaper.
The Org’s long term goal is to build an alternative to LinkedIn with our “company first” professional community. Vision is basically our equivalent to LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator that gives professional users access to premium search functionality. It’s time to break up LinkedIn’s monopoly and we hope you want to support us on that journey!
We are offering 1 month free to anybody in the Product Hunt community that signs up for Vision this week. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Best,
Christian
Hey PH friends! Earlier this year, I helped The Org launch on PH, and it is one of my favorite companies that lives the philosophy of building in public via org chats. I'm a big fan!
Today, they are taking the next big step - Introducing Vision by The Org!
They are building the “holy grail” of sales, which helps salespeople quickly identify buyers, understand spheres of influence, and cross-sell to other parts of the organization.
Founders, Christian and Andreas will be here to hear your feedback, so drop your comments below and let them know if you can suggest one or two improvements!
@sentry_co Our data comes from a variety of sources including publicly available pages on the internet (company websites, news articles, LinkedIn, etc.) and our active community of contributors. It is this combination of sources that makes our data more reliable than anything else on the market.
@sentry_co Eventually yes, but currently I would say the tool is best used to monitor executive team changes which probably could be used for stock analysis and other things...
The Org's approach to sales enablement through the Vision product is very cool. It's virtually impossible to understand who to reach out to on LinkedIn, and the org chart structure built into Vision is a very elegant solution to this problem.
Sweet launch Sharath!
Congrats on the 4th launch to the Org team!
Since you asked for feedback, my main reason for clicking away was because this comes across as very very expensive.
The line on the page under "Search and track the world's largest database of public org charts" is "start for free" and "contact sales", both of which communicate to me that you do not give away pricing data.
However, after I came back and read the launch message from @cwylonis , I went back and saw the pricing info at the bottom, hahah. (So if I stumbled across this in the 'wild', I'd never have scrolled down to that b/c of the buttons pre-fold.
I only went back and scrolled because of this line "Our goal is to take on these incumbents with a much better (and cheaper) alternative!"
I think my only feedback after looking at pricing would be that I wish there was more of a B2-Early Founder price haha. (e.g. I only need to see 1-5 contacts a month, and would love this tool for seeing org charts. I'd pay $5-10 monthly for 5 contact searches.)
Huge congrats on the launch! Sorry if any feedback came off as harsh, I really really like the product, just wanted to make sure your team was aware of the impression the page gives with those buttons saying 'contact sales' :)
I'm curious what you charge for API access, @cwylonis. I realize it's masked behind a "call us" prompt so no worries if you can't share here.
I'm asking as I'm doing some research on enrichment and related data API solutions for something we're building at Weekend Fund.
I recently discovered The Org and Vision while exploring full-time opportunities. Kudos to the team on the successful launch and the seamless design!
From a recent grad's perspective, it's a game-changer for networking. While it was still free to me, I utilized Vision's contact features to connect with 8 execs through cold emails. While I understand the primary focus is sales, it's a fantastic tool for job and internship seekers too.
Have you thought about offering a free version or a discount for students, perhaps verified through a .edu email? It could be a huge hit among us recent grads and college students mindful of costs.
