Yesterday Lawtrades launched their Slackbot.
I listened to this episode this morning. The problem is definitely there but as @pitdesi mentioned, I'd be hesitant to use a new cheaper service for very serious legal work, like financing docs. That doesn't mean I wouldn't ever use something like this but they'll need to get me over that hurdle. π
@rrhoover@pitdesi Thanks for listening Ryan. I know it's hard to ditch name brand firms that have been around for a while. A lot of time when startups use bigger firms they are getting passed off to associates that are essentially learning on the job - we think that's the wrong way to allocate resources regardless of how fancy the name is. Try us for something straight forward like preparing a contract, doc review etc. and I think you'll be very impressed w/ quality since all of our attorneys are ex big law anyway. That'll be an easy way to test the waters and see if it's a good fit for future legal needs, plus you'll save a boatload of money. π€
This episode first started as a Blab (https://blab.im/the-pitch-episod...) then over the past few days we turned it into an episode of The Pitch. This is only the second time we've done the live broadcast of the recording, but it seems to be catching on.
Though we have had some negative feedback about the new format, a few folks prefer the old asynchronous format.
I hope you like it. Let me know what you think! Thanks to @AshishW203@atShruti@pchini for making this episode a reality π
